BRI: "Unable to create channel of type 'ZAP'"
Hi,
I'm trying to build a SIP / ISDN BRI gateway. I'm using asterisk and
zaptel 1.0.6 with the bristuff patches. I have a Billion HFC card
connected to a BRI ISDN line.
Unfortunately each time asterisk tries to make a call on that channel, I
get NOTICE[6236]: app_dial.c:759 dial_exec: Unable to create channel of
type 'ZAP'

PRI got event: HDLC Abort (6) on Primary D-channel of span 1
I receive this error on the asterisk console and it is pretty much
ALWAYS coming up.
Sometimes there will be a break where it does not display.
We had our PRI provider test the lines and they claim that there is no
signalling problem.
It doesn't matter if there are no calls or if there are 10 calls in
progress the error is still displayed.
I also get an annoying popping or clicking sound

TDM11B and hook flash
I recently purchased a TDM11B so I could hopefully hook flash the FXO from
either the FXS (on the TDM11B) or a SIP device. From the FXS, I've tried
hitting # then transferring to an extension that flashes the line then dials
the FXS again (3020). This seems to send me to a busy signal and the
console tells me no such host of 3020 (the number I'm on). The call on call
waiting gets sent

Hi Asterisk-ians!
Need all of your help. I am stuck with this issue for last few days. I have
one X100P installed in my system. My Asterisk is registered with another
Asterisk Server/SIP provider as client and the call is successfully received
by my Asterisk server (named as starwars).
Now, the extentions.conf file states, the incoming INTO * should go out to

Asterisk <--> Cisco 2620
Hi list,
I'm trying to connect a cisco 2620 to my asterisk box using ISDN PRI.
But I got some problems.
zttool shows "no alarms" and "Internally clocked". Asterisk starts
fine, but doesn't bring up d-channel. And when I try to make a call,
asterisk shows:

Zap channel configuration problem
Hi,
I would like to use a digum card to call an external number through my
PSTN. I think that I have a problem in the configuration. Asterisk
returns me app_dial.c:764 dial_exec: Unable to create channel of type 'Zap'
I use Fedora core 3.
I installed libpri, zaptel and asterisk.
I plugged my line on the FXS module (green part).
I make modprobe zaptel && modprobe wctdm without

PRI got event: HDLC Abort (6) on Primary, D-channel of span 1
I also experienced this problem and the first thing that really helped out was changing the timing in the span line of the zaptel.conf. Change it to look like this (see below) and see if it helps out. I got the error much less after doing this and eventually got rid of the error completely by removing my raid drives, installing an IDE drive, enabling DMA mode on the Hard Drive, enabling APCI in

scanned the archives and get possibilities ranging form motherboards,
to pri, to loaded module problems. Can someone tell me the best way

BRIstuff/OctoBRI problem: Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 5
Hi all,
I just posted this question before last week.
Meanwhile after upgrading Asterisk 1.0.7-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RCg to
1.0.8-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RCh
the same problem occurs, but seems to be more seldom.
Attached is now the output of "zap show channel" .

Dial out on Zap: Can't fix up channel from 31 to 30 because 30 is already in use??
Hi,
I still cant dial out on Zap and I really have no clue why.
I'm using Asterisk Asterisk 1.2.6 and Zaptel 1.2.5 with Digium card 4
ports, 31 channels each and able to receive incoming calls and fax
perfectly.
I've done this in my dial plan.
