fxo cards
Hi all, Is there any alternative hardware components for multi port FXO cards, other than Single and E1 or T1 level? For example 4 or 8 port FXO card is ideal. Also the price matters. Thanks!

How many X100P's in a system..
I know the recommendation it to not run more than 2 T/E100P's in a system but what about X100P's.. Usually there are 5 PCI slots in a system, has anyone tried 5 x X100P's in a system? Grandstream firmware update DMTF Payload Type
Since firmware 1.0.3.81, unless I'm imagining things, Voicemail2 seems to be having problems. The Grandstream and sip.conf were set to RFC2833 now with that setting I get extra digits during "Mailbox" and "Password" phases. 222001 instead of 2201 for example. When both are changed to "SIP info" there is no problem. But what is the new setting "DTMF Payload

Atick Certification on FXO Modules (Australia)
Out of interest is there any estimated date for the TDM400 FXO modules receiving A-tick certification? And has anyone compared the FXO modules with the X100P on Australian exchanges/equipment? Do they perform any better than the X100? Cheers, Chris Lee

(no subject)
Hello everyone! I'm planning on setting up a new system shortly and can't pick the right card... We will have 2 or 3 lines coming in and 7 extensions (GXP2k's). Should I just get 2 or 3 X100P cards? Or do I need the Sangoma A20200 or even the A20200D (Echo cancelation)... I was thinking I'd use a Dell 2.0 GHz machine as the server... If anyone has suggestions as to

TDM400 in aging Dell Optiplex
I've got an old Dell Optiplex (Pentium-II, 1998 Vintage) which is successfully running an X100P card. I'm hoping to upgrade to a TDM400. Has anybody tried running these cards in old Optiplex machines? I'm not particularly worried about horsepower - more about the motherboard having a PCI bus that's able to power up the card... -Ronan

spandsp rxfax under Linux 2.6 w/TDM400?
Hi, I have got my Asterisk server running with TDM400 card (2xFXO & 2xFXS). I originally had the system configured with a Panasonic fax machine on one of the extensions. Due to the high volume of fax spam, I figured it would be a much better idea to capture the faxes as TIF or PDF files to minimize wasted paper, etc. I have downloaded, compiled and installed spandsp and can see the rxfax

Underwater in 10 - 20 seconds
I'm running a X100P connected to a POTS line and a TDMP400P w/ two FXS daughter cards. Both calling out from one of the FXS phones (internally) or calling my home number (externally) the FXO card starts to freak out. By freak out I mean I can still hear but it sounds like you are underwater, there is an annoying hiss or buzz on the line as well. If I hang up and pick up another house phone

Problem using TDM400P FXS card
Hello, everyone After having spent several time to look for any solution for my problem, I decided to write here. Here is the problem got a Digium X101 FXO card and Digium TDM400P alias freshmaker (1 fxs module on it on first port ) in my asterisk box. The X101 works perfectly. The problem comes from the TDM400, when i plug a tested working phone on it , i get no dialtone; the goal is to

TDM400 audio problems
Sorry everyone, I know this has been hashed over a bunch of times but I can't find anything that pertains to specific cracking and popping on the FXO modules of a TDM04. This happens on inbound or outbound calls. This is the first install I have done with a TDM card for FXO modules so please, be kind if I am missing something really simple. Damn I wish everyone wanted t-1's or

Digium cards just for timing
Hi, I've found that neither Michael Manousos patch nor ztdummy driver do not fix musiconhold sound interruption problem up to acceptable quality level. Sound is choppy here anyway. It is my understanding (please correct me if I'm wrong) that if I have a Digium card in my asterisk machine, these problems should be gone 'cause those cards provide some reliable timing. So I have no

UK (British Telecom) Caller ID again
I've followed the recent thread on caller id with UK British Telecom networks (where the caller id data is delivered before the first ring). My understanding is that if I use a recent CVS head (e.g. CVS-HEAD-09/18/04-17:45:52) and a TDM400 with FXO modules, all I need to do is include the line: usecallerid=uk In my zapata.conf (in the [channels] section) I've done this, but I get: Sep

Manager interface, again
Ok, is it me or do some of the commands just not work properly? I asked for mailboxstatus and got: Response: Success Message: Mailbox Status Mailbox: 1000 Waiting: 0 which is all well and good, except of course I have 2 messages waiting... which kinda means it only works, if you have 0 messages... Caller ID with DTMF
Hi Everyone! I live in Sweden and can not get CallerID to work on analog incoming lines. I m trying to find out if DTMF style CallerID works on a FXO card (X100). I`v seen one solution with a modem attached in parallel with the X100 just to provide the ID on its serial port. It must be much better if this can be implemented in to the X100 driver. Any info about this would be highly appreciated.

DTMF Caller ID w/o polarity inversion
Hi Folks, I've been looking around and found some references of some Caller ID patches (Mantis bug#9) for X100P and TDM400 for Netherlands, Sweden and UK. It's been quite hard to understand what has finally been incorporated to the distribution (if anything) or which patches must be applied in witch snapshot of the repository. I've tried some different approaches but nothing worked

Loop length supported by FXS module on Wildcat TDM400 card
Does anyone know (appoximately) the max loop length that the FXS module on a Wildcat TDM400 card will drive an analog phone(over standard - say cat3 or 26 gage twisted-pair wire). It's clearly not going to be 18kft, but perhaps 4000 feet? Thanks Elliot Eichen elliot.eichen@tbx25.tonebridge.com

UK X100P installation help
Hi, I've got the latest asterisk@home setup running with SIP. I've been trying to tie it in with the PSTN off and on for a while with no success. I gave up on ISDN and purchased 2 x100p cards from x100p.com. I've got the card installed, the machine can see it. The problems I have at the moment are First time I start up the drivers and asterisk, I can call the pstn number. The
