iaxtel iax.conf entry?
Hello all, Can someone send me a current working example of what the entries need to look like for iaxtel and the iax.conf file inclusive of the register line? It's been quite awhile since I have done anything with iaxtel and I need to do a little bit of testing. Currently it appears that I can make calls out to iaxtel fine however inbound seems to be another question. I see 2 iaxtel

IAX problems using CVS HEAD, but not CVS STABLE
Hi All, Sorry if this has been covered in the past; I've tried searching the archives, but haven't had any luck finding a similar problem. Basically I have problems when using IAX2 (which I now understand is just IAX). I have three IAX connections setup - VoicePulse, IAXtel, and an Asterisk IAX<->PSTN termination provider here in Sydney (ATP) If I try to use the CVS STABLE version

different IAX ports for different contexts
I have a problem with my asterisk@home installation (configured with AMP) My question is this, can you have different ports for different contexts within IAX? [Faktortel] port = 5036 ; Port to bind to bindaddr = 0.0.0.0 ; Address to bind to context = default ; Default for incoming calls allow=all ; Allow all codecs register => XXXXX:XXXXX@iax.faktotel.com/EXTEN

IAX CALLS ONCE MORE
Hello, I updated CVS and nobody can call me any more with my IAX number 17007591228. I can only call other number but nobody can call me. This is what I get on debug when I call myself: -- Executing Dial("SIP/1011-7424", "IAX/bartosz:password@iaxtel.com/17007591228@iaxtel") in new stack -- Calling using options

IAXTEL toll-free gateway
I have been playing around with asterisk for a week or so now and haven't had too much trouble getting things to work but one thing seems to puzzle me. I have been patient hoping that there was a configuration error on the server or that the toll-free gateway was down but nothing has changed. I have the following configuration context for IAXTEL: [iaxtel] exten =>

turning off IAX registration attempts
I have, in iax.conf the register statement: register => username:password@iaxtel.com This causes registration attempts to iaxtel.com for both IAX and IAX2. Every once in a while there is a packet for port 4569 keeping the IAX2 registration alive. This is fine. But, I have a barrage of registration attempts to iaxtel on port 5036 for IAX. Every UDP packet is answered with an ICMP packet

PRI suppliers in Switzerland
Greetings list, I posted this to the -biz list a few days ago. In hindsight, I think it would have been more appropriate posted here, so apologies to those on both lists who've now seen this twice. I have had a request to provide 2x PRIs to a site in Lausanne, Switzerland, but my knowledge of the Swiss Telco market is non-existent. Are there any folks on the list who've experience in

iaxtel and iax.conf
I have tried for over a month off and on to get iaxtel for inbound to work... and tonight after alot of troubleshooting we noticed this: iaxtel inbound will use the last entry in your iax.conf to auth against. So if [iaxtel] is at the top and say [voicepulse] at the bottom. An inbound call will try to auth against that [voicepulse] entry even with the [iaxtel] entry at the top of the file. Has

iaxtel 1-800 gateway down?
Does anyone know if the 1-800 iaxtel gateway is down? I've been trying to use it all day today and asterisk says it's ringing: Channel (Context Extension Pri ) State Appl. iax vs iax2 connections
Been meaning to ask this for some time... no big deal, but curious. I have a single register statement in my iax.conf for iaxtel like: [general] port=5036 register => npi:mypassword@iaxtel.com <snip> However, when I restart *, I see: Registered to '69.73.19.178', who sees us as 205.221.193.101:5036 Registered to '69.73.19.178', who sees us as 205.221.193.101:4569

Important: PSTN access-number for Dutch gateway changed
Yo all, The PSTN access-number for the Dutch IAXTel <-> PSTN-gateway has changed. The new number is: +31 20 3987 567. Calling from IAXTel to Dutch toll-free PSTN-numbers is still done in the same way, by calling "31800<rest of number>". Mark: Could you please update your web-sites to reflect this change? The old number is mentioned on "http://www.gnophone.com/",

Problem with IAX trunking
Hi all, I'm trying to get IAX2 trunking between two * boxes and am having extreme difficulty :) What happens is when the sending * server (the one initiating the call) receives the ACCEPT back from the receiving server it immediately replies with INVAL. I've checked the code and it seems to be not matching the accept packet with the relevant item in the iaxs array due to the following

PSTN Gateway X101P
I am trying to setup a simple pstn gateway using Asterisk and a X100p card. I have got everything installed using Redhat 9 and am able to load Asterisk. I also configured sip and I am able to connect to the asterisk gateway with Xlite on the windows side. I am able to dial 1000 and get the welcome message. What I am NOT able to do is dial a seven digit local or 10 digit long distance number and

IAX <> IAX trunking... DP cache?
I'm attempting to get two Asterisk 0.4.0 PBXes to communicate with one another using IAX/IAX2 trunks. I've managed to get a semi-functional NAT Firewall working as a PBX (with Asterisk running directly on the firewall itself), but there are issues with bind()ing to various interfaces which is causing outbound SIP issues. To get around these issues, the idea is to do something like

IAX peers and NAT
Help, I'm stuck. Lost in the woods. I have one Asterisk running on FreeBSD outside on the Wild Internet. One on the safe inside, behind a NAT firewall. The inside server registers with IAX to the outer one and can place calls. The outside one can't register to the one on the inside, since it can't be reached on the private network. Now to my problem: * How do I dial from outside to

How to change login for iaxtel.com IAX?
Hi, I created an iaxtel account, and was given a password containing an "@" character. The directory pages imply that they change the web login password only. How do I reset my IAX password so that it is usable in the iax.conf file? Thanks, Steve
