is there a way to replace unkown action error with a pretty 404 page ? I set the ErrorDocument 404 in .htaccess, however when someong goes to http://www.mysite.com/bogus i would like it to show a 404 error instead of just "Uknown action". Is this possible with a rescue or something? adam -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

iax.conf qualify=yes not working?
We have many IAXy devices in the field now. In all cases, in iax.conf, we have "qualify=yes", so that using "iax2 show peers", we can see whether or not the device is currently online. In some cases, the IAXy device and/or Asterisk are not communicating their qualification, because "iax2 show peers" shows the device as status UNKNOWN. However, when a user picks up

You are using a slash in your format string to separate sub-fields but your data uses a dash. -- Sent from my phone. Please excuse my brevity. iax2 and ethereal
If you are using ethereal to decode packet traces that include iax2 packets, you may have noticed that codecs such as ilbc were being shown as unkown. I've had a patch accepted into the ethereal cvs that corrects that, updating packet-iax2.[ch] to match asterisk cvs HEAD. I presume it will be in the next release, and is now available in ethereal's anon cvs tree. -JimC -- James H.

SIP: Trouble with "Moved temporarily" (302)
Hi folks, this does look like a bug to me: Asterisk replaces the @63.214.186.6 by @context which obviously leads to a failure. Any comments, do I have a configuration issue on my side that I missed? Cheers, Philipp -- Executing Dial("SIP/philipp-bd5f", "SIP/992365264680@nikotel- out|90") in new stack -- Called 99xxxxxxxxxx@nikotel-out -- Got SIP response 302

Problem with Aastra 480ci and qualify=yes
Hi, We have a few Aastra 480ci phones and we've noticed that in order to get the phone to receive a call, qualify must be = no. Apparently the Aastras do not respond to the qualify message (or respond in a way Asterisk doesn't understand) and Asterisk thinks the phone is unreachable. However, this now prevents MWI from working properly on the phones. Does anyone know how to get MWI

impact of qualify=yes
Anyone have any information on the performance impact of using qualify=yes for hundreds (500ish) of SIP UAs? I have seen tidbits on qualifyspreading=yes, but not enough to understand what it does. I assume lessens the peak load of qualify sip options queries? Thx! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Purpose of qualify=yes
We have a tenant who has been having issues with a congested connection and in trouble shooting it we've noticed that there seems to be a lot of SIP traffic even when none of the phones are doing anything. We've determined that this traffic is mostly INFO packets generated by setting qualify=2000. I understand that 2000 ms is the default value for the qualification parameter but what

how can qualify=yes trigger some external event?
Hi all, The option qualify=yes allows Asterisk to check if it can reach the peer. If the device does not answer within the time-out period, Asterisk considers the device off-line for future calls. Is it possible to use this feature to trigger some external event, in case of failed reply from the peer that is tried to be reached? How can that be done? Regards, Ricardo.

qualify=yes & outboundproxy
I'm having some trouble turning with trunk monitoring while using an outbound proxy. While all other sip messaging (e.g. calls) respects the outboundproxy setting, Options packets from setting qualify=yes do not. Asterisk tried to send the Options message directly to the "host=" IP, instead of the "outboundproxy=" IP as it should, verified with tcpdump. I've done a

Patch: switcher's window is a splash window
Hi, I made a simple patch which makes switcher's window a splash window (_NET_WM_WINDOW_TYPE_SPLASH). This way I can easily add effects for it. The window is a splash window, so why not use this type instead of Unknown? Beryl's switcher window is a Splash window too. Is there a reason why Compiz uses Uknown for it? sip qualify=yes interval
In an earlier thread Andrew Kohlsmith enlightened me on the use of qualify in sip.conf to deal with a peer that is down. Since then I have been searching for information on how the behavior of qualify can be tuned. The wiki is vague on this; " Syntax: qualify=xxx|no|yes where XXX is the number of milliseconds used. If yes the default timeout is used, 2 seconds. If you turn on
