No Full Virtualisation with Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 Mobile CPU?
Hello,
I have some interesting issue with Intel VT CPU and XEN 3.0.2:
I''m running XEN 3.0.2 on a MSI Fuzzy 945GM2 Mainboard
(http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/ic/ic_detail.php?prod_no=4) with
a Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile CPU (T5500).
When booting the mainboard BIOS says it found a EM64T CPU, which is
AFAIK the code for a Intel CPU with Virtualisation Technologie.
But whether Linux

488 Not Acceptable Here
Hi,
I'm having real difficulty in getting calls to go through with
Asterisk. I've managed to check that my SIP connection is made to my
provider. Below is an email I received from them:

I am not certain of the reason for rejection but it has to do with the

Cisco router and "488 Not acceptable here" messages
Are there any known problems with Cisco routers (Cisco 837) and SIP
sessions? I have been trying to track down a problem for about 3 hours
now and I think the Cisco router is the culprit!!!
I keep getting "488 Not acceptable here" messages, which are apparently
normally the message you get when a common codec can't be found. I'm
also getting "chan_sip.c:3434 process_sdp:

Asterisk translates 200 OK + SDP into 488 not acceptable here after both side agreed on codec.
Hi List
Asterisk 16.28.0 in use.
PJSIP in use
Two endpoints
Both using IPv6
One Endpoint on UDP, the other via TLS.
Both with:
t38_udptl=yes
;fax_detect=yes
;fax_detect_timeout=30
rtp_ipv6=yes
Both sides are T.38 capable and detect fax tone so no need for fax
detection on asterisk.
Voice calls between the two work fine.
But on a Fax call, I see this situation:

488 Not acceptable here
I am helping a friend on one of his sip trunk and couldn't find the way
to resolve his problem.
His asterisk's problem is like this:
0. When incoming call to one of his sip trunk, Asterisk reply with "488
Not acceptable here". So the call get dropped.
1. Recently upgraded Elastix with Asterisk 1.4.33
2. Was working fine before the upgrade
3. There are total 4 SIP trunks

FFA SendFax rejects T.38 reINVITE (488 Not acceptable here)
Hello,
I'm trying to send a tif file, using Fax for Asterisk and the call is
executed, but when I get the reINVITE with T.38 data, the local server
doesn't recognize that we have this capability and sends a 488 message.
These are the logs:

488 Not Acceptable Here
I have a whole bunch of remote devices connected to my Asterisk box,
including SPA-3000s, PAP2-NAs and Cisco 7960s. The PAP2-NAs I have only
rolled out recently and I am having a problem that is intermittent and
inconsistent.
It happens to some users but not other users on the same ISP. It happens to
users in 2 different countries where the Internet setup (NAT issues) are
completely different. It

Cookbook/HowTo for using XEN to create a complete DMZ?
Hi Folks,
XEN seems to me to be the ideal partner to create a complete DMZ with
firewall, router, "Bastios Host(s)" etc within a single PC.
So far, I haven''t found any cookbook or how to (at least for the beginning).
Anyone knows of such thing?

Falko

How "else" works
I have what is likely to be a simple question about the else keyword.
The usage in the help pages is as follows:
if(cond) cons.expr else alt.expr
I would expect to be able to use it in the following way as well:
if(cond){
cons.expr
}
else alt.expr
This results a syntax error.
Am I doing something wrong, or doesn't R support the spanning of the
combination of if and else

I just uploaded two packages to CRAN.
shapefiles_0.1.tar.gz - functions to read and write ESRI shapefiles
(including dbfs)
emme2_0.1.tar.gz - functions to read binary data from an EMME/2 databank
data (EMME/2 is a transportation modeling program)
Please let me know if you find any bugs or have some suggestions. Thanks.

Array Dimension Names
I would like to reference array dimensions by name in an apply and a summary
function. For example:
apply(x, "workers", sum)
Is there a better way to do this than creating a new attribute for the array
and then creating new methods for apply and summary? I don't want to name
the individual elements of each dimension (such as with dimnames) but rather
name the dimensions. Thanks

Use of Apply to Change Values in Dataframe
I have a question about how apply() works for changing data values. I am
using it to change NA values to zero, but the question applies to other
value changing operations as well. If I have a dataframe "Dat" with columns
"a", "b" and "c" and there are some NA values in every column:
If I do:
Dat$a[is.na(Dat$a)] <- 0
then all the NA values are changed

Building and loading a DLL on Windows NT
I am trying to build a simple dll with Rcmd SHLIB to link into R. The
results of the build are below. From my limited knowledge of building DLLs,
it looks like it worked (I didn't get any errors).
F:\R\dlls> Rcmd SHLIB add.C
making add.d from add.C
g++ -IC:/PROGRA~1/R/src/include -Wall -O2 -c add.C -o add.o
ar cr add.a *.o
ranlib add.a
g++ --shared -s -o add.dll add.def add.a

Is there a way to label axes with LaTeX commands like \frac{M}{M_{\odot}} or v_{\rm Cluster} (10^3 km s^{-1}) and have them come out looking right?

R integration with Microsoft Powerpoint
Please allow me an unusual question.
Is there any way that R can be closely integrated with a Microsoft
Powerpoint presentation? I would like to embed R calculations in
Powerpoint so that I will start Powerpoint, be prompted to enter some
parameters, and an R function will run and return values and graphs.
Thanks,

List and Column Names in a Function?
In this simple function, how can I pass strings for index and column names
to the function? I've posted this type of question before and received no
response.
Maybe this example will be easier to understand and troubleshoot.
ds <- function(myds, vec) {myds[[vec]]*2}
ds1 <- c(X=list(1:10), Y=list(11:20))
ds(get("ds1"),get("Y"))
