Re: What's the best way to make use of VLAN interfaces with VMs?
Even more puzzling, I reverted back to the old configuration to confirm what I had seen and found that it works in one direction but not the other: i.e. from 192.168.0.110 to 192.168.0.120, but not the other way around. Must be something with my configuration....which I can follow up on. So, thanks again for your help. Richard On 12/3/19 11:36 AM, Richard Achmatowicz wrote: > Laine >

LoadAvg , Codec and Bandwidth Utilisation
1) If I see the Loadavg more than 4 , whats the immediate solution to get it under 1 APART from restarting the server ? 2) I get too much of cross connections. Can Codec be the culprit ? I use g729. Can using GSM will solve the problem ? What could be the other reasons ? 3) Anyway to measure the bandwidth utilisation from the server ? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

Everything seems to work ok but when I look at the dns entries with the windows dns remote administration tool it all looks very weird. Here's an example: This is the insert command: samba-tool dns add samba4.example.com example.com www1 A 192.168.0.120 -U administrator When I query the dns

tftpd: read(ack): Connection refused
I configure the system of remote boot. Almost all was done. But one simple problem. tftp doesn't download pxelinux.0 from boot-server, in.tftpd is running at. Problem isn't in pxelinux.0, but in protocol itself. I've created test file "test" in /tftpboot and tried to download it but "Timeout occured". From /var/log/messages: Mar 27 16:32:27 dk in.tftpd[26576]:

Hi Laine What you have suggested sounds eminently reasonable. Thanks for your advice. I'm going to give it a shot and report back. smbmount chooses wrong ip and fails!
Hi, I'm trying to use smbmount to mount a Windows XP Share. On the WindowsXP machine I have multiple adapters (due to installing vmware - www.vmware.com). By default, these VMWare adapters also bind to "Windows File Sharing". When smbmount sends a broadcast packet to get the ip address of the host, it gets back 3 ip addresses as follows: nmb packet from 192.168.0.120(137)

This should be a simple issue!
I must be missing something here. I am trying to set up a Samba share called Samba on \\Spear (as my win2k sees it). However, I intermittently get the following errors when I try to access: SAMBA Not Accessible. The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available -or- \\Spear not accessible. The network path was not found I remember getting welcomed to the SAMBA workgroup,

What means? Correct auth, but based on stale nonce received
Hi masters! I've this Asterisk 1.4.15 running. yesterday I had to change the firewall schema that I had before. I use to have a FW that would be my network FW/Proxy and do the NATs for Asterisk. This FW was receiving too many requests from my LAN and it was making the Asterisk 'cut' the calls or reach very high latency. Yesterday I added a new FW just for this Asterisk. The same

local address announcements
Hi everyone, you can find the current version of my enhanced tinc using subversion: svn://tardyon.mon-clan.de/tinc I allowed anonymous read access, so feel free to download the sources. Unfortunately, my enhancements are based on a rather old git-checkout from Guus. The version should run under windows and Debian/Ubuntu.
