ADSI Analogue phones
I'm trying to work out whether I want an ADSI phone or not, and in fact, whether it is ... useful/works with Asterisk. I have decided that for the cost/performance of the various IP based phones, I am not interested, I seem to get significantly better quality from a plain analogue phone using the TDM40B card. Is it beneficial to get an ADSI phone as opposed to a plain old analogue phone from

ADSI - PowerTouch 350
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with PowerTouch 350 & ADSI. I am able to configure the phone with ADSI.. Which is pretty cool in it self. But I have a question regarding the Service feature. I have to choose the service button and choose the Asterisk PBX ADSI. But let's say I make a call it does not default back to this. I have to go back into Services and choose it

Setting time on ADSI phones from Asterisk
Hi, Would anyone know of a way to set the time automatically on an ADSI capable phone from *? The phone in question is a Aastra 480e. While I am at it, does anyone have any helpful docs on the ADSI script programming? I have managed to do basic functions by modifying the asterisk.adsi file using stuff gleaned from the app_adsiprog.c file, but docs would be really helpful at this point. Tia,

Nortel PowerTouch 350
I have a question hoping someone can help me with. I just purchased a 350 from http://lktelecom.zoovy.com/product/HPT350. I have been reading some posts and heard that these phones won't work with Asterisk.. Is this true? I had a previous Nortel Phone working in this enviroment. Well anyway here's my problem. The phone keeps ringing.. It won't stop.. Which makes the phone

Found: inexpensive ADSI phone
I know I heard people looking for inexpensive ADSI phones a while back. Can't vouch for these guys, but this looks like a reasonable deal for what perhaps are new phones. No experience with ADSI, myself, but thought I'd pass it along. These folks also carry the Nortel analog units that do intercom and 2-line, as has been discussed in prior threads. ADSI & Vista/Aastra 350
I have ADSI working on my Aastra (Vista/Nortel) 350 phone and everything is working fine. However, I want the asterisk.adsi to load into the 'self-load' slot but can't figure out what the correct FDN for doing this is. Does anyone know the right FDN for the SL slot on these phones? Also, does anyone have any cool/interesting ADSI scripts they wouldn't mind sharing? I'm

Aastra 480e phone ADSI config
There isn't much documentation on adsi, but I called NETXUSA (the vendor of my 480e) and they helped me along. My experience: 1. I really had no experience with ADSI so I had (probably still have) some misconceptions on how the configuration is loaded onto the phone. 2. I set the following in my /etc/asterisk/asterisk.adsi (most of this is the stock asterisk.adsi script): ;

ADSI phones?
Any suggestions? The Aastra 480 & 390 seem popular along with the CybioLink. Does anyone use these phones (or others)? Are they compatible with atsterisk's ADSI? If so, how are people programming these phones? Searched thru archives, lots of previous talk but no soild info. I'd like to get a couple of ADSI phones to play with, just hate to waste the money if they won't work with

aastra pt480 and adsi
Ok, so I figured out my problem with my pt480s. But, now I have a few more. 1. When I dial into the voicemailmain or voicemailmain2 application, the phone and * start talking adsi, but then the phone tells me "programming download canceled, services is full.", but my services list isn't full, only "Asterisk PBX" occupies slot 2, slots 1, 3 and 4 are available. Any ideas?

Aastra 390 w/ADSI - Doesn't automagically use "Asterisk PBX" script
I have an Aastra 390 ADSI phone. It's not locked. I can call ADSIProg without a problem and it programs my phone. Calling Voicemail2 also programs my phone. However, in order for the VMail option to appear on the screen I have to go into the Services menu, pick Asterisk PBX and pick Select. Then the VMail softbutton appears on the screen, but any time I make a call it goes back to the

Aastra ADSI phone
I've received my Aastra 390 phone. I got the unlock procedure from the vendor, and the services button now shows all four entrys as "<available>". When I give the phone "ADSIProg()" the phone displays: Asterisk PBX download refused Conflict with: <available> The asterisk.adsi hasn't been changed: DESCRIPTION "Asterisk PBX" VERSION 0x02 SECURITY

On-Hook ADSI
Hello list, I have reason to believe that ADSI can be spoken to phones even when they're onhook. Is this true? Does anyone know? Right now, I'm having trouble figuring out how to do anything to an onhook channel other than ring it. Does this require a magic application and some serious voodoo? Any pointers? I got onto this idea because I noticed that whenever I got voice mail on a

ADSI phone vs. IP phone
Assuming the price of an ADSI screen phone (say, Aastra 390) was the same as an IP screen phone (say, Cisco 7960) and someone was setting up an * server for their 20 employees (each of whom would have either an ADSI or IP phone on their desk), would there be advantages to using the ADSI phones over the IP phones, or vice-versa? For discussion, let's assume that the hardware needed to

The Joys of ADSI
Hey Everybody, You may remember be as the one that was generally running in circles trying to get ADSI phones to work? Well, five phones later, I've got a phone and a code that works to program it. I have been discouraged from just posting it to an e-mail forum, but I have been encouraged to get it embedded in the program. Is this possible? How should it be done? Next, after getting it

telantek.adsi
I am working with the telantek.adsi file, and I was wondering how I would create a softkey for Transfer. I tried making a key definition and using SENDDTMF "#", but that didn't work. Is there another way I could do this? Also, does anybody have any ADSI scripts for use with Asterisk that they would like to share? Thank you for your time. __________________________________ Do you

ADSI
Has anyone seen this behavior? Whenever I try using the voicemail through my ADSI display, it disables my # buttons. If I hit listen through the ADSI display, I can not delete messages. The 7 button no longer does anything... Thanks for any help... John

ADSI -- is it dead? Worth bothering with?
Since Colin Anderson -- in a previous thread -- asked the question about whether ADSI was dead, I thought it was worth discussing. We've been using Nortel Vista 350s in our office up until now. The phones are from Telus, I don't know if there's any way to unlock them. It would appear Telus hasn't done much in the way of updating software for these phones; or if they have, they

little ADSI problem
I bought an Aastra PT480 from digium, but I wanted to see if I could get some more help with this before Monday. Any help would be appreciated. I have the phone connected to the TDM400P card, and I also have the T100P and the X100P in the same box. My problem is, it appears as if the phone and asterisk can't understand each other. The port the phone is connected to always remains
