configuring TE410P for four E1 PRI lines
hi, I'm trying to configure my newly acquired TE410P card to work as 4 E1 spans. This is supposed to be a drop-in replacement to the earlier E100P card. However, on loading the zaptel module it gets configured as T1 spans basically doing a 'cat' on /proc/zaptel/1 thru 4, it shows 24 channels per span. After this ztcfg fails saying 'ZT_CHANCONFIG failed for channel 97'.

E400P woes
We've changed E1 providers and I'm trying to reconfigure an E400P to make it work with the new lines. They're supposedly "standard" EuroISDN lines (in the UK). I'm initially just trying to get a single line up. I have the following in /etc/zaptel.conf: span=1,0,0,ccs,hdb3 bchan=1-15 dchan=16 bchan=17-31 loadzone=uk defaultzone=uk The LED on the back

TE410P startup
Hi, I put a TE410P card in a machine (a Tyan 2665 with 2x2.4GHz Xeons). A red flashing light circles around the 4 RJ48C sockets. I load the wct4xxp driver, and the flashing light stops. Whether I connect an E1 signal or not, no lights are shown, and no alarms are reports in the /proc/zaptel/XXX files. What is supposed to happen? I expected all the ports to show a continuous red LED until I

Multiple phonenumbers on one E1 PRI with Digium TE410P ?
Hi, one short question: Is it possible for the zaptel driver to deal with multiple phone numbers on one single E1 PRI line? I could make my carrier route +49 xxx aaaaa-zzz and +49 xxx bbbbb-zzz and others down one single PRI trunk to our asterisk box terminating in a Digium TE410P. Does the driver handle this and can I put calls coming in all on the same physical interface put into

live monitoring
Hello, I've search through all of the lists and cannot find any descriptions of live monitoring (monitoring a phone call going on between an extension and a zaptel channel live from another extension while the monitoring phone is muted). I am aware of the monitor function which is actually a call recorder, but I'm looking for live monitoring from a muted extension. is this easily

MusicOnHold and MP3Player not triggering "answer"
Hi I have kind of an odd problem. When dialing in from an outside line via a TE410P card it seems like MusicOnHold and MP3Player doesn't work properly (for me anyway). The remote end which is calling * doesn't hear the music but just keeps ringing. But if I insert a Playback("file_which_dont_exist") just before the Moh or MP3Player I can hear the music. Actually I observed the

h extension seems to wipe variables?
Hi. I'm trying to do some custom call logging, and I want to call an AGI script from a hangup handler to log call durations and things. Although the script executes, it isn't retrieving variables from the AGI interface. Looking closer, I realised the variables are actually getting unset before the h extension is reached. Ethereal plugin for IAX2
As mentioned on the devel list earlier today, I'm interested in writing an IAX2 plugin for Ethereal to make debugging IAX protocol implementation and simultaneous calls on normal networks easier. Anyway, I started work on it this evening, so it's not complete yet, but it's starting to look quite sensible: - http://raq626.uk2net.com/~al/ethereal.png A couple of people have

Dynamic SIP outbound usernames?
Hi, I have * set up as a PSTN->VoIP gateway (with an E1 with multiple numbers pointing to it). I'd really like to be able to dial out to a SIP server like so: exten => _X.,1,Dial(SIP/${DNID}@hostname) I.e. the remote SIP server receives a SIP INVITE with a "To:" header containing the dialed number (e.g. 02085555555@computer.company.com). This is equivalent to having a

how to make sip uri work
Lets say I have an * at my business, with 7960 SIP phones. All the sip phones are registered using their extension number (like 305), but I would also like to put my SIP URI on my business card and in a name format, not an extension number (like lee.goodman), so that the SIP URI would read lee.goodman@asterisk.company.com. How would I set this up in extensions.conf? I got

TE410P Spans offline/red after power down/restart
I've just encountered an odd problem with our Digium TE410P card and was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar before. We utilize all 4 ports with 2 of them connected to the PSTN as E1 with the second 2 ports connecting to a device which accepts T1. We are essentially acting as an E1 to T1 converter. This machine has been operational for close to 6 months without a problem.

TE410P hardware problems
TE410P card down. I have three (3) TE410P in one machine running asterisk with SS7. My problems started last week when one of my cards started switching to E1 every time after reboot. I set the following in dahdi.conf and that solve the problem. /etc/modprobe.d/ options wct4xxp t1e1override=0x00 Now all 4 ports on that card is down with Red Alarm. I tried rebooting the machine and

Dialogic Hardware (Take 2)
Please rest assure that I have been following the * development for a while and understand the value the Digium hardware gives me vs any other vendor. Most of the people on this list probably know whats good for everyone else, but I like to find out for myself (I am not a CNN junky). Now the * site mentions Dialogic as supported hardware at: http://www.asterisk.org/index.php?menu=hardware It

Details on TE410P Digium cards
Hello, I am looking to buy a large number of TE410P cards for a big international project. I have studied the documentation and zaptel.conf and as result I have the following questions: 1. How do you switch the card from ISDN PRI TE to NT? This means from being configured as User Equipment (the PABX) to be Network Equipment (the Exchange). 2. How do you configure the card for E1 or T1? 3. In

One Asterisk server with a TE410P card installed (first line used on this only), and a number of Wellgate 3504A (4 port FXS devices with SIP firmware). outbound caller ID problem on PRI
I can't seem to hide and/or set my caller ID from *. I'm using a quite recent (three weeks or so) CVS with an E400P card. I have pridialplan=unknown in zapata.conf and I'm based in the UK. The relevant bit of pri debug looks like this (reformatted to fit 80 char width): > Calling Number (len= 4) [ Ext: 0 > TON: Unknown Number Type (0) >
