re-installing a package without removing it?
Hello, I've just noticed that the file /etc/ha.d/resource.d/drbddisk, which belongs to package drbd-8.0.6-1.el5.centos, is missing from one of my test machines: # rpm --verify drbd S.5....T c /etc/drbd.conf missing /etc/ha.d/resource.d/drbddisk I'm looking at this as an opporunity to learn something about RPM which bugged me for a while - in Debian, aptitude and apt-get provide

Mitel 5055 phone
Hello, I have seen the Mitel 5055 SIP phone mentioned a few times on the list, does anyone have any wonderful or horrible things to say about it? We are thinking about using them because they have many more programmable buttons than the Snom200 phones and are about $70 cheaper. Thanks, MATT---

New Help Site - cut down on Mailing List questions
This is a re-post as it was pointed out that I replied to a different thread instead of creating a new post. Sorry for the additional traffic. Mike Dear All, I understand the excitement surrounding a service like Asterisk, and how easy it is to jump in and ask a heap of questions. I also know how frustrating it can be dealing with a 200+ post per day mailing list as one of the question

sip phone problem
Hi all. I have 2 ip phones (Grandstream Budgetone): -budgetone1 -budgetone2 All two are connected to an Asterisk server. When I make a call from budgetone1 to budgetone2, I can speak with budgetone2 whith no problem. But when budgetone2 hangs up, budgetone1 does not play any tone (like busy tone). Budgetone1 seems to be still in conversation, but what conversation! Has anyone had a problem

OH323 with Asterisk@home - seems incomplete
I installed oh323 and everything seemed to go smoothly (compile & everything upto calling through using oh323). I must admit, there is some behavior that's doesn't seem right but generally, I'm able to dial-out of any oh323 device whether to an extension or to a trunk. Audio is sometimes muted when dialing out until the extension or dialed number answers. Sound quality is good

is anyone using AAF trunk?
My project is currently using AAF 0.4.3. Trunk has some compelling features, but my project is going live on Monday and I am apprehensive about switching. Is anyone using trunk in a relatively high-volume context? (A low and vague standard for evaluating production suitability, I know, but better than nothing). Thanks, John

Has anyone complied Wine onto a Sparc (Suse 7.1.)?
The actual machine I have is a SPARCStation20. I know I can't d/l the binaries, but I've heard that it's possible to compile the source. I'd like to hear from anyone that's accomplished this feat, with, if possible some pointers on how to do it. I've never yet compiled any source code, (I find it difficult to grasp the ins-and-outs of it ("./configure" this,

DC upgrade questions
Hi folks, Yet another upgrade question! Reading the mailing list regarding upgrades in the past few months has made me a little apprehensive. After now running a single Samba DC for a few months and excising the last remnants of the old Windows DC, I would like to join another Samba DC to the existing one. Current one (DC2) is running Samba 4.5 on Debian Stretch. samba-tool dbcheck looks clean

Cisco 7940/7960 XML application hint
I don't know if this is already common knowledge, and it's not specificly for Asterisk, but if you are using Cisco phones and want to roll XML applications, make sure you have "Connection: close" in your HTTP header. Without it screen loads are very sluggish. In PHP, do: header("Connection: close"); I whipped up quick-and-dirty PHP/MySQL/Cisco XML directory and

I have a question hoping someone can help me with. I just purchased a 350 from http://lktelecom.zoovy.com/product/HPT350. I have been reading some posts and heard that these phones won't work with Asterisk.. Is this true? I had a previous Nortel Phone working in this enviroment. Well anyway here's my problem. The phone keeps ringing.. It won't stop.. Which makes the phone

GlobalISel: Ambiguous intrinsic semantics problem
Matt: that’s fair. We’re generally apprehensive of option 2 as well. Eli: Yes, currently we believe that aarch64.neon.addp is the only arm64 one affected, but we don’t know how prevalent this is on other targets. Splitting it is certainly possible combined with the autoupgrader. If disambiguating the intrinsics is the preferred solution, then I think we should also have the langref also specify

[SCEV] Inconsistent SCEV formation for zext
Hi Sanjoy, >> I'm a bit apprehensive of adding more caching to solve problems created by caching; but if there is no way out of adding another cache, how about adding a cache that maps SCEV expressions to their simplified versions? Then we could do something like: I may be wrong but I think caching is not an issue in itself, but caching in the presence of self-recursion is. >>

Making a package CITATION file from BibTeX
Dear Colleagues, I would like to provide a CITATION file for my package nat.nblast [1]. I have the correct citation in BibTeX format [2]. How can I convert this BibTeX to the format needed by R for a package CITATION file (I have a lot of other packages needing citations ...). I think what I need is the opposite of RefManageR::toBiblatex [3]. This seems like it should be a common need, so I
