Dialtone when automatically picking up.
I'm in the process of setting up a 'phone tree', and are running into some problems. My goal is for users to dial a phone number, the asterisk system picks it up, plays the greeting, and users can type whatever they want into the system. What actually happens is users dial the phone number, asterisk picks up and additionally goes off-hook on another line, plays the greeting and

Weird..bridging to Zap channel FXS instead of bridging to PSTN FXO on outgoing group
Hi All, Channels 25-28 on a customers PBX are regular Zaptel FXO cards that are hooked into 4 incomming phone lines. They are all in a group to do automatic rollover for outgoing calls (if channel 25 is being used, dial on channel 26, etc.). Sometimes when a user is dialing a number, instead of bridging to one of the FXO cards it goes and rings to Zap/1-1. This doesnt occur all the time but some

Threeway calling uses up two FXO lines
I'm running Asterisk (stable branch downloaded 2-Sep-05) on RedHat 9 and I have a TDM22B installed (TDM400 w/ 2 FXO and 2 FXS ports). Everything seems to work except threeway calling. I can establish a threeway call, but it uses up BOTH FXO lines. Note that I DO have threeway calling active with my Bell service. Here's a typical scenario: 1) Call 765-1574, 2) When they answer, press

TDM11B - 2nd channel is not detected
Hello all, This is my first post to this mailing list. I've been following the development (not as a developer, but as an interested user) of Asterisk for over a year now. It's only in the last month that we've decided to give it a try (hey, might as well...everything else we use is open source). We ordered a TDM11B (1 FXS, and 1 FXO). The card and Asterisk install was uneventful.

Zap POTS Line Problem calling outbound
I have one POTS line going into a TDM400P. Here in Atlanta, we have 10 digit local dialing. I launch a call "Zap/1/7705551212" and it goes thru just fine. The next time I try it, without any modifications, I get a Bell recording telling me that I must dial the area code and seven digit number when placing a local call. It's like Asterisk may be starting the dial before the line

Outside lines are just not happening...

Internal FXS to SIP problem
I've just setup a new asterisk box (cvs HEAD) with a digium tdm411 and a couple computers with eyebeam. I have one small. I cannot call the eyebeam clients from the phone connected the fxs port. I can call the phone from the eyebeem clients. And, I get both the fxs phone and eyebeam clients to ring when a call comes in through the fxo port. I have been trying to get this straightened out

Echo on Zaptel hardware (Wildcard 100XP)
I've enclosed by config... I've tried everything from lowering the tx/rx gains.. to toying with 32/64/128 echo canceling taps... at 256 echoing is really bad... I've even tried recompiling the zaptel driver with the MARK2 super echo canceling support... I still have a very slight echo that I simply can not get rid of.... this echo is ONLY when going VoIP to POTS.. and I understand

ZapATA channels up, but calls cannot be made
I have a issue with two Zap clone cards where they used to work. I am using Asterisk@Home 2.5 which includes Asterisk 1.24 and Zaptel drivers 1.2.4. The system is a new Intel Celerion machine. I used to have the same cards running in a Intel PIII system. in this system, they worked. In this older system, I was able to call into the machine and call out from it. Now that I have upgraded

FX Dialing Odd
Here's a possible bug, or more likely, I'm just missing something. We have a pots card in one of our asterisk boxes. Its a simple asterisk setup with one FXO/FXS card and basic static extensions file, etc. When we dial out over the pots line, 4 out of 5 times, it will work. However, every 4 or 5 times, we get an error back from the provider that says "The number you have dialed.....

Problem getting TDM400P clone card to go off-hook and dial
I am having problems getting a Nicherons TDM400P wildcard clone to dial out. Everything appears to be configured correctly, but although I see call progress, it never seems to actually pick up the phone. (The following is a test of 911 emergency, where I substitute 811 [repair service] as the actual number dialed.) *CLI> -- Executing [911 at from-internal:1]

CallerID Debug On Zap/POTS Channel
Hi all, I've been trying to wrap my mind around this one for several days now. How can I 'debug' the CallerID reception on a Zap/POTS channel? I have a POTS line with CallerID and a Digium TDM11B card right now. I have my signalling set to ks for both sides, can make and receive calls just fine. But I never get CallerID on incoming calls. I get the following messages: Aug 11

Fax with SPA-2000's?
I've been trying to get fax reception to work using an SPA-2000 to ring the fax machine or modem that's taking fax calls. I was curious if anyone else had tried something similar, and if so, had any luck getting it to work reliably. I've been able to get it to work, but it isn't reliable. (Pages/lines of black dots result more frequently than not.) The incoming lines are FXO

Pots Extensions
Hi all, I am either going daft or not reading things right. I have just installed, (well 10 hours ago) a TDM40B and 3 X100P cards. I have followed the examples for the conf files to the letter. I can call the pots extensions OK from IAX clients, SIP clients and from the incoming X100P cards. But, if I pick up the handset to make a call all I get is the engaged tone and the following message.

TDM
The TDM01B is 4 port capable but has only 1 FXO module. I'm running asterisk 1.2.7 and zaptel 1.2.5. I cannot seem to get the TDM01B working. When I do the zttool it shows 4/1/0. I can dial out from a POTS phone up to the point that the cable plugs into the card. Here is my /etc/zaptel.conf loadzone=us fxsks=1 and here is my /etc/Zapata.conf [channels] language=en #include

tdm400p fxo not working
Dear all. I have a tdm400p with an FXO module in slot 4 and an FXS module in slot 1. I have not configured the FXS port in an attempt to keep things simple. The problem is that when I call the POTS number (assigned by phone company) asterisk is seeing the call but then not doing anything with it. The verbose output from asterisk is as follows:
