Low cost hardware time for production environment
Hello List.
I am setting up asterisk as a central dialplan, voicemail and conference
solution, connected to 12 Cisco 1760 Routers running Call Manager
Express IOS distributed around the world. This is all done over VPN.
These routers all have PSTN access in their respective country.
So far all is good, and Asterisks interopability with the Cisco CME
using SIP is very good, although

Grandstream tftp cfg.txt format
Hello!
I've been reading through the archives on this list for the last 8-10
months. There are some reports on success with tftp autoconfiguration
with a given cfg.txt format but really vague. Has anybody successfully
done this without using GAPS, or has anybody got a correctly formatted
cfg.txt file that works (from GAPS). I would be happy to write a script
or a java program that

grandstream ringtones - makering.pl usage for 1.0.50
If you wan't to create a ringtone with makering.pl for firmware 1.0.50,
be sure to create it as ring.bin and then rename it to ring1.bin /
ring2.bin or ring3.bin. This seems to be the only change between the
format from 1.0.4.68.

printing ISO/8859-1 characters
Hi,
I ran into an odd problem with the print command for R-2.0 on a windows
machine.
The icelandic character thorn (??,??) which is included in in the Latin-1
character set [iso/8859-1 char# 222 (upper case) and #254 (lower case)]
prints out incorrectly. Instead of getting the correct
character I get the octal codes for upper and lower case thorn (\336 or
\376). This only happens on a windows

locating intervals
Hi ,
I have two sorted vectors X and Xi, where the range of Xi lies within the
range of X.
For an element in Xi, I want to find the neigbouring data in X, e.g. find an
index ix
so that for element number k, then
X[ix[k]] < X[k] < X[ix[k] +1] # also OK with "<=" on either one, but not
both
This is easy to code by looping over the data in X,Xi, but I suspect there

Debian 6 / Xen 4 / blktap2
Hello all
I am updating a test system from Debian 5 and Xen 3.2 to Debian 6 and
Xen 4.
After dist-upgrading, I did:
aptitude -P install xen-hypervisor-4.0-i386 linux-image-xen-686
And then fixed Grub2 to boot the xen kernel.
cat /etc/debian_version return 6, uname -a returns:

make R package for windows on Linux
Hi,
I made a package on a linux box. All worked fine.
The package contains only R code (no C). I then wanted to make a zip
file so that I could test the package on a windows machine. I have tried
all the obvious ways to do this (and even some that are not!), but to no
avail. The only instructions I find about building packages for windows
(e.g. mypkg.zip) seem to imply that the build be done

I've been trying to calculate home range sizes (for Icelandic geese!) using
minimum convex polygons with the adehabitat package. I've tried to use the R
code shown by demo(homerange) in adehabitat and when that didn't work I've
fiddled around with it but to no avail...Below is the output of the demo

Quota
Hi all,
I was wondering if there was a possibillity to put in a quota
to the smb.conf something like "max disk size = 1000" but then that
is actually does something at "1000"
If there is no option for this does anyone know the best way top do this
is, or do I have to make a "edquota".
problem I have is, I have a 4TB raid 5 crossplatform i.e. nfs,appletalk,smb,ftp

barplot at specific x values
Dear useRs,
I search for a possibillity to plot stacked bars at specific x positions.
I tried and tried, but the only way i got something adequate was by using lowlevel plots segments(). That is quiet ok, but will not please eyes without a lot of par() lines.
