PXELINUX hanging when booting floppy images
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I am trying to create a PXE setup with floppy images for all needed utilities - for example, BIOS flash for various motherboards, disk diagnostic tools, memtest86+, etc. I've gotten memtest86+ to work (using the .bin), and some of the disk images work - however, some disk images will not boot. All of the images were pulled from working, bootable

Wishlist: install.packages to look for the newest version (PR#13853)
Uwe, I am talking binaries and Windows. I was not thinking of building binaries for old versions, but of looking in the new version repositories first, whether there is a binary that is said to be valid for the older version. Wouldn't it be possible to have the process look up a table of a newer R version for compatible binaries ? I got stuck with R 2-8.1 (which is not that old and should

Does the newest version support Mulitibyte NETBIOS name?
Dear Sir, I remember that I can use multibyte NETBIOS name (just as Traditional Chinese) in Microsoft Windows to talk with the previous version of samba (maybe 2.0.7). But since I use 2.2.3a (which is included in RedHat 7.3), the log file name is incorrect when the client use multibyte NETBIOS name. And when I use the newest version (2.2.6), if the client use multibyte NETBIOS name, then the

NHW Project - How to find a sponsor?
Hello, I am still working on very high compression for the NHW Project, but I find the current version good, it has a good neatness of image, which I find visually more pleasant than other codecs that are optimizing for PSNR, SSIM,... Furthermore the NHW Project is still very fast and royalty-free. I dedicated this past year to the NHW Project and I could make very good improvements (like

Wishlist: install.packages to look for the newest version (PR#13852)
Ulrike, if you install from source, you always get the most recent version of the package given it does not depend on a newer version of R. If you want a binary package, you also get the newest version - that was newest at the time we stopped building binaries for that version of R. We (or better I if we only talk about Windows, but similar for all other platforms) cannot build for each R

I have a model which has the created_on and updated_on fields. I would like to find the newest instances of my model from the database(for instance, last 10), but as I''m only 6 weeks into my Rails development, I''m not entirely sure how to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks, David

Flash problems in newest upgrade?
Hi, I just upgraded to the newest kernel and Flash. Hulu now "grays out" when I try to go to full screen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the proprietary video drivers (no difference either way), so I'm guessing it has something to do with either the new Flash or the new kernel. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Thanks for any pointers. -- RonB -- Using CentOS 5.5

Which is the "newest" libpri/zaptel?
OK. I just grabbed libpri and zaptel via: cvs co libpri zaptel I compiled and installed and was unable to make outbound calls. Inbound was fine. (See my previous post about call length 0). The changelog in both dirs showed the version as 0.1.6. This "should" be the newest version of libpri and zaptel. Then I grabbed them via: cvs co -r v1-0 libpri zaptel Compiled and installed and

OT: Newest kernels much smaller in size
I'm updating my Desktop and curious as to the reason for the huge difference in size, between the oldest kernel, which will be removed, and the newest one that will be installed. Question: Did they remove a lot of things from the kernel or rewrite it much more efficiently? TIA. Installing: kernel i686 2.6.18-128.4.1.el5 updates 15 M Removing: kernel

Loading same libraries (old version & newest version) in r
Hi all, I require 2 RMySQL libraries in order to query from a database. 'RMySQL_0.7-4' (newest version) results in an error when more than 1 field is queried. ''RMySQL_0.5-11' (old version) resolves this issue where more than 1 field can be queried without any errors. However, other queries results in an error messeges (but no error messeges with 'RMySQL_0.7-4'

Many warnings in the newest R ...
Hello! I am using R 2.5.0 under Ubuntu 6.06, and I am not an expert. Recently, I think from the latest update some warning messages started to appear, when I use my old data-file and R-histories (hence, everything was done before and worked perfectly well). It seems to me that those are related to the Design package, but I am not sure. One is coming out after: > d = datadist(a,b,c) Warning
