Winbind, still unreliable
Hi there, I recently posted about problems with winbind resolving names from ADS. We have an ADS Domain Controller serving the domain MED-DUS and an NT 4 PDC serving the domain MEDOIL. We want to use a samba server as memberserver in the MED-DUS domain. I joined the samba server to the MED-DUS domain. The domain join worked ok. All users (including MEDOIL) are visible. Next i started winbind.

Weird samba problems .....
Hi, some days ago i sent a mail regarding a small samba installation with periodically dying nmbds. Since the customer didn't call again regarding these problems I had the opinion that everything is fine .... Today the customer called and mentioned that there are additional problems. He had fixed the nmbd problem everyday by rebooting .... :-) Now the smbds also start to die. Again no

Weird samba problems / more info
I have a level 10 debug of the smbd/oplock process_local_message problem but can still not figure out what causes the unknown UDP message command code. I checked the source but could only see that this is an invalid opcode command. Anyone a clue what is happening here ? Might wrong opcode commands crash samba ? Frequent crashes - drives me nuts .....
Hi, i've already setup lots of samba boxes. Mostly large servers as PDC's or as domain members in large networks. No real problems far. A friend asked me to update a small network (3 Win 98 boxes and two Win 2000 boxes) from samba 2.0.6 on an ancient version of linux to samba on suse 8.2. The Win98 boxes use a login script to get their shares mounted the Win 2000 boxes have their shares

Samba & CUPS: only banner-page gets printed
In my setup I'm running Samba 3.0.23d-19.2 and CUPS 1.2.7-12.1. Printing from a windows-client works fine, until I instruct CUPS to add a banner-page. The banner-page then is the only thing that gets printed. Doing the same from Linux everything works fine. I get my job including a banner-page. The Windows-printjob is passed raw from Samba to CUPS... Anyone has an idea? Best, Johannes

[LLVMdev] TableGen target description file change
This is just a note for people who have targets that are not in the main LLVM tree. I just checked in a patch (contributed by Jason Eckhardt) that makes the following changes: 1. The 'Register' tablegen class now requires a register name to be specified as an argument for the register. If you had this: def FP0 : Register; before, change it to: def FP0 :

Register allocator behaves differently when compiling with and without -g
Hi all, In several of our tests, I have noticed that the register allocator allocates to virtual registers in a different order when compiling with the clang option -g. Before entering the register allocator, the code is identical when compiling with and without -g (with the exception of " DBG_VALUE" instructions). The only difference I can see is the value assigned to the slot index

Sieve
Hello, Im newbie at sieve. I have a nice script running on my boxes, and I have the following question: Using Sieve, is there a RULE to find out if String "MYTESTSTRING" is ANYWHERE inside the Email, or ANYWHERE inside the HEADER at least -- in order to trigger actions like "discard;" consequently ? Thank you so much in advance best Regards Florian -- Mit
