cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card on i4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hello
I have asterisk running in Red Hat 9 with a cheap HFC card on i4l. I have
choppy sound problems sometimes, and echo problems often. I am using a 2
port Grandstream ATA, Grandstream BT and a Grandstream GPX-2000
I read that changing to BriStuff will fix the echo problems, but have also
read other users say that the only way they solved the echo/choppy sound
problems was using a Fritz ISDN

cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card oni4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hi,
Bristuff works great with HFC card... your compilation problem may come
from your kernel configuration...
You should check this doc, at least, for the redhat config :
http://www.automated.it/guidetoasterisk.htm
Then, installation of Bristuff works like as charm !

ISDN problem: lacking dialtone
Hi all,
this is a rather "newbie-oriented" question, so please bear with me...
The system running Asterisk has been provided with an AVM FRITZ!Card
PnP. SuSE Linux 9.0 recognizes it right after booting the system and it
seems to be configured (MSN) correctly...
The hwinfo looks like this:
---
pbx:/etc/asterisk # hwinfo --isapnp

* & ISDN-BRI-PTP & DID & ISDN4Linux does not show incoming number
Hi,
I am using Asterisk on a DSS1 ISDN-BRI with ISDN4Linux (and a Fritz Card PnP).
The ISDN-BRI is in PTP-Mode (Point to Point "german: Anlagenanschluss")
which is enabled within I4L with "hisaxctrl fcpcipnp0 7 1".
Everything works fine except that I can not see the called number/MSN
of incoming calls within Asterisk and because of this I can not route
incoming calls

i4l --> capi move - how?
I have * with i4l installed and working - on a dumb eicon card.
It seems in order to get DTMF out of the BRI (for business banking -
etc) - I should change from i4l drivers to capi drivers.
wiki help seems to be for the Fritz card only...???
I have ticked the suggested boxes in 'menuconfig', explored the
capi4linux websites - etc... but am missing some magic.
I've "modprobe

2 B channels for ISDN cards
Hi,
Is it possible to use 2 B channels simultaneously
with either I4L or CAPI drivers?
We use AVM A1 (Fritz) PCMCIA with I4L driver and
AVM B1 PCMCIA with CAPI driver.
Thanks,
Michael.

[ISDN] Problem: Device '/dev/ttyI1' lacking dialtone
All,
Currently I've got my Asterisk machine running smoothly on IP bases. Meaning I can reach all phones or softphones within my LAN or remote LAN's via VPN. The next step for me is connecting it to the PSTN network.
After some tweaking with the modem.conf I got the i4l driver running correctly, and it appears that my Fritz! ISDN v2 card is working correctly.

Call Transfer over Fritz!-ISDN Card with i4l does not work
Hello everybody!
After checking the complete wiki and the mailinglist archives I still
haven't really found out why the following constellation does not work.
We have an asterisk-System with some SIP-Phones and an old ISA
Fritz-ISDN-Card used with i4l. The whole system is integrated in out
(ISDN-)PBX for testing.
The ISDN-Card is properly configured, as we are able to phone out,

congestion problem with only one number
Hi all,
I have this weird problem.
I'm running asterisk 1.0.3 on Debian Sid (official debian package).
We have 2 fritz ISDN cards.
All is working great.
Till I called the bank. It rings one time and then gives me
the congestion tone.
Here is what I see on the CLI (phone nr obfuscated for
privacy reasons):

Isdn4Linux and DTMF
Hello all,
I currently have an Eicon Diva Client isdn card using i4l. Outbound
dtmf doesn't work (and never has), but there has been an annoying
problem with false dtmf detection in calls (that could be triggered
easily by blowing into the receiver on the remote end).
I looked through the list and found two patches that need to be
applied - 1 to isdn_tty.c in the kernel, and another to

* as a fax/voice switch
Hi everybody,
is it possible to get asterisk recognising fax calls (NO dedicated msn /
extention) with chan_capi or chan_modem and i4l ? But i only have a
fritz dsl v2.0 (same features as a fritz pci v2.0, I think).
Any hints would be welcome!
Only found info about chan_zap. I also have a hfc-s card with junghann's
bristuff working in NT mode - maybe this can help?

Intermittent breakage with the ISDN4Linux modem driver
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I'm having some problems using the asterisk modem driver with an
ISDN4Linux card (AVM Fritz). (I realise that it's better to use CAPI,
but unfortunately this card doesn't have any CAPI drivers).
Every so often the ISDN just stops working (it neither dials out nor
accepts incoming calls). Trying to dial out just logs:

Newbie questions about ISDN&zapata.conf, outbound dialing, TDMoE
Hi,
I spent some hours working my way through the WIKI and a number of other
documentations, but after all, three questions are still left:
1. I'm using a Fritz!Card with the i4l driver - no problem at all, my
Grandstream BT 100 rings when I diall a regular phone number.
Is there any need for me to configure the zapata.conf for the ISDN card to get
a special asterisk feature or is this

Problems reciving fax with Asterisk
Hi,
I am trying to recice a fax with * using SpanDSP - but it doesn't create the output file. (See the bottom of log file).
* Loads both app_rxfax.so and app_txfax.so fine.
Also I can't make * autodetect an incomming fax call (yes I have enabled faxdetect=both in zapata.conf - though it's not a Zap device)
Any ideas are welcome :-)
Best Regards

Busy message on ISDN cards?
Hi all,
I'm new to asterisk and not too knowledgeable on ISDN, so please be gentle :)
I have a dual-channel Eicon Diehl Diva card in a Debian Woody box with
kernel 2.4.27, connecting to a Telstra (Australia) Onramp Home Highway
ISDN line. I'm pretty certain the card and line both work since
they've been used in this machine for PPP before this (but with an
older kernel with DoV
