T100P/ TSU 600 installation problem
I have just received a T100P and an Adtran TSU 600 in
the mail.
I seem to be having a problem with the T100P card. So
far I have done the following:
vi zaptel.conf
fxoks=1-22
fxsks=23-24
...
vi zapata.conf
...
signalling=fxo_ks
...
channel => 1-22
...
signalling=fxs_ks
...
channel => 23-24
I then run
modprobe zaptel
modprobe wct1xxp
ztcfg -vv
There are no errors to report. In

Two zaptel T1 cards: no clock from one
List,
I have a TE410P (T1 mode, all PRI) and a T100P (fxoks, for fxs channel
bank). I cannot seem to get the T100P to send any clock to the
channel bank. I prefer that it use the same clock source as the
TE410P, but it doesn't matter if it's not in sync just as long as it's
there.
The TE410P is configured 3x pri_cpe, 1x pri_net. The three cpe go to

Someone please explain FXO/FXS module/channel relationships in Zaptel configuration to me
Please explain the relationship between modules from the driver
(wctdm), the /etc/zaptel.conf file and zapata.conf. Specifically, if
I have a FXS module 0 and FXO module 1, what should be used in
zaptel.conf and what should be used in zapata.conf? Then finally, in
extensions.conf, what is the Zap channel for dialing out? Zap/?

Buzzing on TDM400P FXS?
I have an intermittent problem with the one FXS line that I have. On
most calls, the first ~5 seconds of the call has a loud buzzing noise
on the line. After 5 seconds or so, it fades off to nothing, and the
sound quality is great. Searching for "buzzing" on the list doesn't
give a whole lot to work with. The buzzing happens on calls that are
routed over both my FXO line and

for now, put want it for expansion purposes)
I simply (to start with) am looking to have the FXS

like to be able to place outgoing calls on the FXS
through the FXO. Right

TDM400P problems with 1 FXS, 1 FXO
Hi-
I'm totally stumped configuring my TDM400P with one FXS and one FXO
module. Before I got the FXO module, I used to have an X101P, and
everything was working very well. Now * doesn't seem to recognize the
FXO channel. I've searched the wiki and the list archives. Stock Debian
3.0 stable installation. Any advice? Thanks.

Possibly bad FXS module in TDM400P?
I've got the latest zaptel and cvs asterisk software loaded on my phone
server running FC3. And yes, It's fully updated and udev is setup
correctly. I've got a TDM400P with one FXS and one FXO module
installed. When I load zaptel and wctdm and run ztcfg -vvv, I get this:
[root@asterisk ~]# ztcfg -vvv
ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 1: No such device or address (6)

Zaptel kernel module load order
Evening,
My latest asterisk box is having a difficult problem. It is
configured with one TE210P and TDM400P with four FXO modules. I'm
running FC6.
The TE210P only has a single PRI.
When the system boots, it is completely random what order the zaptel
modules will get loaded in. Sometimes zttool shows the FXO as the
last span, sometimes as the first. When it does load as the first,

Which is the best signalling for FXS
Hi All,
Which is the best signalling to use when connecting an FXS inteface on a
TDM400 to a standard telephone. I see that all examples use fxo_ks, but it
is my understanding that kewl start is really designed for connections to
the CO so that hangup etc. can be detected. So does it make any sense to
configure a telephone for fxo_ks? Or should it be configured for fxo_ls?

zapata.conf and zaptel.conf
Can anyone explain to me the difference in zaptel.conf and zapata.conf?
I'm trying to get a real clear understanding of them but its getting a
little murky in places. I will be setting up a PBX running asterisk with
2 T100P cards. I will be bringing a 23 channel PRI into one card and
connecting the other card to a Nortell 24 channel FXS channel bank. As I
understand it zapata.conf is

Problem routing call to fax machine on DAHDI FXS port
I am running Asterisk 1.6.2.17.2 with a Openvox A400 card with 2FXO/2FXS
modules. I'm trying to set-up things to route analog fax calls from a
FXO port to an analog fax machine on a FXS port on the same card.
Outgoing faxes work just fine. But incoming faces are routed to the
right DAHDI extension, but the call dropped right as the fax machine
rings for the first time. The fax machine

zaptel configuration issues (zaptel.conf vs. zapata.conf)
Feel free to hit me with a cluestick; maybe it will jar something lose...
I'm running a stock *@home 0.6 install and after four days of
excrutiatingly annoying debugging, I finally came across the obvious
problem. The zaptel driver is reading /etc/zaptel.conf; which by
default configures one FXS Kewlstart channel. Asterisk, according to
"full" log, will see the first channel, then

About the CALLIDNUMBER of the fxs
HI
Here is a question about the fxs of the zaptel card which is set a
number to use in the inter as common analog phone. When I also use
${CALLERID(num)}to get it's number, it also could not be done. At this time
,the fxs phone does not get any relation with the outbound which is like
PSTN and so forth. It just set the phone number and extension in the * for
inter used . Could you tell me

Creating a clear channel on zaptel
Hi,
Is it possible to create a clear zaptel channel which doesn't require to be
picked up? The requirement of my client is to open a clear channel to a
recorder which starts recording certain message. Currently the channel which
is created by zaptel requires the other end to answer the call, and the
recorded can't answer, so the channel get hung up after a certain number of
rings.

T100P to Adtran TA750 - No dialtone or ring
Hello all,
I've got a T100P connected to an Adtran TA750 with a T1 crossover...
This connects to a patch panel with phone ports. The Adtran is fully
populated with FXS cards.
All I get on any phone port is a fast clicking noise... No dialtone.
Asterisk 'sees' the card, (the channels show up in /proc/zaptel).
Incoming calls are routed to the zap/x channel, but no ring.
