FWD-gateway prefix
Hey all,
As there seem to be some problems with DTMF-signalling between chan_sip
and several clients, due to which many could not properly dial a number
at the dial-tone of the XS4ALL-gateway at FWD-number "42442", I've now
arranged for a prefix on FWD for this gateway.

Confused about NAT and Authentication with FWD
I have recently started experimenting with Asterisk. I am running the system the other side of the a NAT router and trying to connect to FWD. I have opened UDP ports and have configured sip.conf to handle NAT.
The problem:
I can call from the FWD phone and the extension on Asterisk rings and there is two way sound so no problem.
Now if in the extension.conf file I have,

Setting up Asterisk with fwd
Hey all,
I'm trying to get my Asterisk server up and running on
fwd.pulver.com just to get the hang of it until I get
my FXO card in a couple of days. It seems to connect
but that's about it. If I try to dial into it from
another fwd # it says user is not online.
In sip.conf I have the following added:
register => xxxxxx:xxxxxx@fwd.pulver.com/489125

Can't seem to connect/call fwd network Help!
I have tried everything and still can't place / receive calls from the fwd network. At one point today I was able to call my test machine on the fwd network, I'd answer the call on the test machine (which stated Call Connected), but then the computer I was calling from, through the Asterisk server would give me a 403 Error. I am using sjphone software. I am able to call various

I've been having issues getting FWD to work. I posted this same Q to the
FWD forum (no responses yet), but I was hoping someone here had some insight:

I just signed up for an FWD account (I know I had one before, but I lost
it.. :)
I've got it running through Asterisk - all working fine

Using Asterisk with FWD through NAT
Hi All,
Is there any way to connect (register, initiate and receive calls) with
Asterisk to FWD through NAT? Since I own my router port forwarding is not a
problem.
I tried with
Register => <FWDnum>@fwd.pulver.com:<FWDpass>@fwd.pulver.com
but since Asterisk still use internal IP in some SIP fields I got "479 We

Working with FWD, IPTel, SIPPhone?
I'll admit it. I'm a asterisk newbie (but no stranger to telephony).
The setup is simple: two Grandstream BudgeTel 100 phones (SIPPhone
specials) on a private segment calling to a Linux box acting as the
segment's firewall with a leg on our public network. The phones are
setup as SIP/phone1 (x1000) and SIP/phone2 (x1001), respectively (thanks
to the Asterisk HOWTO).

Asterisk Quicknet FWD Problem - no path to translate from Phone/phone0 to SIP
I cant seem to be able to figure this out. As much as I can tell it is
a codec problem.
I can dial out to 612@fwd.pulver.com and the "Call Me" test there rings
my phone. However when the callee endpoint answers, there is a failure
to translate:

FWD and registrations
Someone said something about FWD registrations requiring the extended
syntax shortly, like this:
register => 12345@fwd.pulver.com:somepassword@fwd.pulver.com/12345
At the moment, using the extended syntax doesn't work - I get
authorization errors. So stick with the old syntax:
register => 12345:somepassword@fwd.pulver.com/12345

FWD/SIP audio suddenly stopped working
All
I've suddenly lost incoming audio on my FWD connection. It worked fine
up until Wed when all of the sudden my calls would complete but I
couldn't hear any audio (I could see the status of the call on the CLI
and could see that my call was using bandwidth on the ethernet switch
and router). I swear I didn't change any of the configuration or even
restart *, but all the sudden

Registering SIP with FWD and ICONNECTHERE
Hi! I am new to Asterisk too, I got the similar problem and I would like to
know how to get * to work behind NAT.
When I have the SIP Debug turn on, I got the error 479 from FWD when * try
to register with FWD, it looks like * is using the local IP (192.168.x.x) in
the Contact field. I have put the nat=yes in the [FWD.Pulver.com] content,
but it does not seems to make Asterisk aware the
