X100P in Australia
G'Day, I need from regarding using the X100P. Some are specific to Australia and I have been told in IRC there are already existing users in oz, so I would appreciate your input. 1) Is the X100P Australia telco approved? 2) I have setup asterisk with X100P and whenever I dial in I cannot get any callerid information. Is this standard behaviour? If not how have other australian users managed

X100P with Caller-ID in Australia, anyone?
Hello list, I have an X100P clone card, and I've been trying to get it to receive Telstra Caller-ID without any luck. Hence these two questions:- 1) Will a genuine X100P work? 2) If so, where can I get one in Australia? Cheers, Jon

CallerID in Australia
Well, Once upon a time, I had problems receiving callerid, and then one day, Mark was logged into my asterisk box helping with something else, and I asked him about this, and he showed me a nice tweak to some source file that made it work. Some time later, I must have done hundreds of CVS updates, and along the way, lost the above patch (one liner) and so callerID hasn't worked for a long

X100P - Busydetect / calls being disconnected - Australia; tip.
Hi All, This isn't really a question, but it's an issue I experienced that was driving me crazy for a few days, so I thought it might be good for the archives. Basically what was happening was everytime a particular customer called (long distance), the line would disconnect immediately after answering. I thought it might have been the phone, so I swapped the phone with another - still

Windows XP client - intermittent 'network name cannotbefound' loading profile
John, I have tried the suggestions you provided. I have setup Dynamic DNS as per the Samba 3 By Example book and this is all updating correctly. I have run the validation steps indicated in the book and all names are resolvable and reachable via hosts, DNS and WINS. I am not sure why winbind would need to be turned off, but seeing as I do not need that currently, I have tried disabling it; the

[Fwd: Re: Windows XP client - intermittent 'network name cannot befound' loading profile]
Doesn't really resolve the issue, but in my case the problem went away when using physical machines rather than virtual machines. The environments are identical - RH ES 3.0 with Windows XP sp1a client (no hotfixes or GPO settings applied). Thanks for everyone's help. X100P card in Australia
I'm trying to get the X100P card working in AU. So far I have managed to get it to handle incoming calls from the PSTN and have managed to eliminate pretty much most of the echo. My big problem is getting the outbound calls to work. When I get ZAP to dial out it won't connect and I get what I think is the Congestion signal - like a busy signal but with what appears to be a 10db

X100P Configs for Australia
Hi, Just wondering if anyone else in Australia is using the X100P to connect to the PSTN, and what configs they have for it? I'm finding at present when I make a call I get a fair bit of echo of myself speaking, and also the person on the other end can't hear me very well (perhaps need to up the digial Tx Gain? I don't have it configured at present) Asterisk is running on

Where to purchase ISDN (BRI) cards in Australia (preferably)
Hello all, I was wondering if anybody knows where one might obtain a PCI ISDN card supporting a single BRI for use with Asterisk in Australia (and using something like chan_capi). Because of the Isdn4Linux DTMF issue, I don't want one of those cards. I've already spent too much time messing about with my current card. I'm after something like the AVM Fritz! cards. I found one place

X100P with Caller-ID in Australia,
You require no changes to detect caller id with a x100p card in Au, however most carriers only provide cid as an extra cost option. Your most likely problem is CID is not being sent to you. If you believe you have the caller id being sent to you, Find a caller id box/phone and confirm it is there. In 99% of cases where I have seen people in Au complaining of no caller id, it was because they

tuning an x100p in Australia for echo cancellation
I have an x100p which suffers from echo (no surprise there apparantly :), and a few of the things I've read about tuning out echo say the first thing to get right is the tx and rx gain, and for that you need a few different types of test lines from the telco (Telstra, Optus, whatever). Does anyone have any numbers in Australia for such lines? I think they just need to send out a tone of a

Called ID in Australia
Hello All, Can any Australians who have any info or current patches relating to Caller ID in Australia please drop me a line? There is little or no info on the Wiki regarding this topic, although I am aware of a related patch mentioned in the bug tracker. Regards, Rob Barnes

Imaptest stalls when removing msgs argument
I have had this imaptest[1] stall. I compared this command with what you have on the website and I was a bit surprised that what is on the website is working. What I have noticed is that if you remove this msgs argument, the imaptest stalls. I am not sure if this is according to design, but one might expect that specifying a secs, makes specifying msgs redundant? [1] imaptest - append=100,0

RE: samba digest, Vol 1 #2098 - 22 msgs
If you go to http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Networking/Misc/samba-2.2.3a/ you can at least get the precompiled version of 2.2.3a for 10.20 if that will work for you. Otherwise roll your own. Many msgs log.winbindd about "group xxxxx in domain yyyyy does not exist"
I am seeing many, many msgs in log.winbindd with the following text: [2006/04/14 08:54:29, 1] nsswitch/winbindd_group.c:winbindd_getgrnam(255) group system in domain AIXSAMBA does not exist Would anybody be able to point me in the right direction to determine what this is complaining about? One area I do not understand is why it is complaining about AIXSAMBA (the NETBIOS name). There is an
