Please Help: Trying to build Asterisk - bazillions of errors
Hi
I followed the instructions on the Asterisk website for download and
building Asterisk. I checked out a fresh copy from the CVS tree as
described and that went smooth, but when I try to build as described, I
get a truckload of errors and I have absolutely no clue what this all
means.
Can anybody please give me some hints or perhaps provide a link to a
pre-compiled version?

Problems compiling zaptel
Hi All,
At the suggestion of Tilghman I'm trying to compile the zaptel dummy driver to
see if it fixes the stuttering mp3 problem.
I checked out zaptel from CVS but when I try to do a 'make' I get the
following output, which terminates with an error. (I'm using RedHat 9)
Can anyone suggest why it fails to compile?
cc -I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE -DSTANDALONE_ZAPATA

Problem at compiling zaptel
Hi all!
Can anybody please give me some advice, what is wrong at my first try to
compile Asterisk. I have successfully downloaded the sources from CVS, but
now the next step at zaptel " clean; make install" fails.
Please have a look at the error-log below.
There must be a fundamental mis-configuration I suppose, but I am
unfortunately not an expert in this area.

zaptel wont compile
Trying to update to the latest cvs, but Asterisk complained that zaptel was
too old. Updating zaptel gives me this during the make. Any ideas, the
searches and Wiki gives me no hints.

ztdummy compile again
Hi,
I'm still strugling with getting an easy to use conference system
implemented. I did have app_conference running, but today I upgraded
asterisk to 1.0.9 and it stopped working. I've tried following the
instructions for compiling app_conference on 1.0.7 but it didn't work.
So I went back to ztdummy (I've not had any luck getting this to compile
on FC2).
Anyhoo, I've

make error for zaptel
Hi,
I'm running SuSE 9.3 fully updated using YOU and I *have* re-booted the
box (in a hope to sort out the uname -r issue mentioned below).
I'm using the Asterisk Doc Proj vol 1 to guide me through the initial
setup. I have no special HW and intend to use asterisk on an internal
network just to get some experience.
I have downloaded what I think I need and placed it in /usr/src (see

Problems building zaptel 1.4.4
Hi,
I'm having trouble compiling zaptel 1.4.4 on SUSE 10.1. I'm really
only interested in getting ztdummy to work because this is a dev
machine with no zaptel h/w. SUSE 10.1 is a 2.6 kernel:
asterisk-dev:/home/hugh # uname -r
2.6.16.13-4-default
It seems that my problem is related to autoconf.h - I cannot find that file:
asterisk-dev:/home/hugh # find / -name 'autoconf.h'

Zaptel won't compile under Fedora Core 4
I hope someone can offer me some help with this. Basically, the current CVS
version of Zaptel will not compile under Fedora Core 4. I have closely
followed the directions in
http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+Fedora+Core+3 using
the versions given in the FC4 distro with no luck. Here's the output when I
run "make linux26". Any help would be great. TIA.

I currently have the X100P and TDM400P Asterisk cards. For obtaining
Asterisk PBX: I have no direct connection to internet, so I use ftp and
download the neweast packages: zaptel-0.7.0, libpri-0.4.0,
asterisk-0.5.0.
The environment I compiled the tool:
PC (HP): Intel PIII 500 MHz
OS: Red Hat Linux 8.0 (Upgrade from Red Hat Linux 7.1).
When I compile the first package (zaptel-0.7.0), I

Can not compile zaptel at SuSE 9.0
Hello all,
I am not able to compile zaptel...
I am using kernel 2.4.21-202 and it's source is linked to /usr/src/linux. I
already have to test installations running at SuSE 9.0 (but here I have an
SMP system with to processors).
Could you give me a hint?
