Tables & Databinding
Hiya, I''ve recently been looking at removing the dependency in our CRM/CMS on MSIE XML Databinding so that it''ll run properly in Firefox.. The solution I''ve created uses the prototype.js lib so I thought I might share my efforts here if that''s ok? It''s still _very_ early days but there''s the beginnings of a writeup here:

upgrade from fedora to centos?
Hiya, just wondering how easy this would be, I'm guessing through yum, but is there a preferable process from updating from fed core 3 to centos ideally keeping settings as is? (desktop rather than server, just want to migrate to centos, nothing too essential apart from raw data). Ian

Crontab not working....
Hiya all, just found an odd one on one of our boxes, cron isnt working (for a user anyway, but can't seem to get it running properly at all), i.e if I do a crontab -e as a user (who is in /var/spool/cron) and add 19 10 * * * /bin/touch /home/logadmin/testfile (has permission) its never created. Also I get no mails from cron to /var/spool/mail/root so guessing maybe cron not working at all,

prexec change between 3.0.24 to 3.0.25
Hello, I've been testing out 3.0.25 before putting it into production and came across an issue. As a simple example.. in a share definition root preexec = echo "hey there, hi there, hello" > /tmp/hiya.txt works fine under 3.0.24 not so under 3.0.25, /tmp/hiya.txt isn't created. Cranking up the debugging and using some other similiar tests it seems to me that Samba is in

wxImageHandler type?
Hiya, I was trying to figure out how to display PNG files using wxWindows/wxRuby. Google turned up a few things, mainly discussing the wxImageHandler class and it''s children, etc, but there seems to be no mention of them in the wxRuby source. Are they there, and I missed them, or are they just not there? If there not there, is there a quick and dirty way to get them in? It seems like

Hiya. I didn't really offer to help, but as I had time, here's a unified diff clearing the only problem I saw in the docs: not explaining all options. [LLVMdev] Declaring constant global variables
Hiya, I want to declare a constant global variable as: @.str = private constant [4 x i8] c"%f\0A\00", align 1 ; <[4 x i8]*> [#uses=1] I guess I should firstly declare an arrayType object, then declare a GlobalVariable object. I have two problems: 1. What element type I should set for the arrayType? 2. How to set the constant value as :c"%f\0A\00" Cheers, Zheng

AOCD -> SendText()?
Hiya, i've just noticed that chan_misdn writes the AOCD information into a logfile. Has someone done a patch that sends this information via sendtext() to the active channel? At least some phones (like Cisco with chan_sccp and the snom-phones with SIP) can show this information on the display, what is kinda the idea with AOCD ;-) Regards, Andeas

Hiya folks, Maybe someone can help me with this question. I'm a long time mutt user. However in recent years, I have been a member of an increasing number of mail lists. And an increasing number of mail list users are starting to use special characters in their emails that my terminal is not understanding correctly. stripe alignment consideration for btrfs on RAID5
Hiya, is there any recommendation out there to setup a btrfs FS on top of hardware or software raid5 or raid6 wrt stripe/stride alignment? From mkfs.btrfs, it doesn''t look like there''s much that can be adjusted that would help, and what I''m asking might not even make sense for btrfs but I thought I''d just ask. which version best to use right now?
hiya folks, I've been trying to figure out which branch of samba is best for us to use. I read the FAQ, and it seems a little out of date. or at best, lacking in info. It says that, "The current stable, production Samba server is the Samba 3.2 branch." If that is the case.. then why are there **THREE** other branches? why is there also a 3.3, *and* a 3.4, *and* a 4.x branch? To
