My stations are behinds a firewall, the system is windows 2000 & 98, i

asterisk is on the internet gateway where is the firewall Shorewall the

Since our server migration from OES1 (rsync-3.0.2-2.1) to OES2
(rsync-3.0.6-3.1), rsync backup do not work anymore.
Here is some explanation :

Newbie, i try examples to understand "asterisk".
I have a pb with your macro macro-record-cleanup. the progress of the
macro stops if the macro is execute on a hangup. I try many other
configure with exchange of rules but it seems me that there is no
execute after the first (or second) instruction after an hangup.

Asterisk con X-lite : Register Ok but no calls (404 Not found)
Hi all,
I'm working on an implementation of VoIP en Linux.
I have a Debian Suse (*.*.*.173) with an * and a X-lite client and a
Red Hat 9.0 (*.*.*.172) with another softphone X-lite.
Both of the softphones are registering and appear in the peers (sip
show peers) with the good parameters of address and port.
If I try to make a call, * receive the INVITE request and send a 404
NOT FOUND answer.

registration failure
I feel I'm on the verge of setting up a pbx for handling internal calls
only...
The last problem - I think - I've run into is w/ the phone registration
running

Hi,
I have Mandrake 10.0 gateway with internet via. ppp0. Also, another
machine 192.168.0.4 is always connected to net via. a dial-up
modem. Now I want to allow a machine (192.168.0.2) in my LAN to
access net through 192.168.0.4. So according to lartc howto I did,
# echo 200 John >> /etc/iproute2/rt_tables
# ip rule add from 192.168.0.2 table John
# ip route add default via 192.168.0.4 dev

Masquerade only a few hosts
Hi
I have using a Bering (LRP) box with shorewall, and I must enable
IP masquedare only a few hosts on my network.
I want to enable only masquerade from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.25.
What I must do ?
I known that I have to configure the /etc/shorewall/masq file, but
I don''t known how.

SuSE Linux 7.3 and Windows Networking

file share. This problem i didn't got it with SuSE 7.2. From SuSE told me

Can't access remote workstations without MASQUERADE
Hi everyone! I have a little problem here.
First let explain my network topology
I have a 192.168.0.0/24 network, with win98 workstations, a NT
serving domain and another NT as a WINS server.
192.168.0.3 - NT / WINS
192.168.0.6 - NT / DOMAIN
192.168.0.1 - Internet gateway
192.168.0.2 - Wireless AP 200 that connects to a linux gw

LAN Browsing shows IP Addresses instead of Computer Names.
I'm trying to figure out how I can have my lan browser display computer
names instead of IP Addresses. I think the ip addresses are generated by my
router since if I add a new computer, the ip addresses will be different for
each computer. anyway let me give you the specs first. Running Samba
2.2.8a-1 on Red Hat 7.3. I have not set up WINS or DNS at all. I have set
up lisarc to use

linux and win2k: who is blocking whose messages?
hi all,
i know a whole lot more about MS windows networking than i did this
morning (but it still feels like i don't know much).
the linux samba server is a local, master and preferred browse master.
it's also a WINS server. linux's IP address is 192.168.0.2.
the win2k machine is 192.168.0.4.
the goal is to browse linux's filesystem from win2k's "computers near

I'm working on project that requires my linux application to access
(read/write) via samba a single partition that is bigger than 2TB. I
would like to know if the latest versions of the linux samba client
support this kind of partition and what the limit accually is and what
are the specific requirements.
