constrOptim with method = "L-BFGS-B"
Hi, i need to minimize a quadratic function with boundary condidtions and one equality condition. In order to do that i converted the equality constraint into 2 inequality constaints and passed everything cia constrOptim, as the manual said: everything included in the ... will be passed to Optim that will pass it back to fn in case it does not need it. My code is the following: mat <-

Bandwidth measurement tool: bmtools
This is not specifically on-topic for Asterisk, but I have found on many occasions while working with Asterisk that it would have been very handy to be able to measure, with some precision, the bandwidth being used by a particular host, port, or combination of the two. So, I went searching for various tools, none of which were what I wanted. They either were too clever, or too limited in

chan_oh323.so: Segmentation Fault
Hi, I'm trying to get H323 support using asterisk 0.4.0 Unfortunately the pwlib and openh323 versions mentioned in the asterisk-oh323 readme file are no more available, and I had to use newer ones. Now I installed all libraries, but got a segemntion fault when starting asterisk while reading the chan_oh323.conf file. When I declare more than 9 gwprefix I get first a error "out of

Intercom/autoanswer, SIP, Cisco
A friend pointed out this url http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/pcat/clmn32.htm where it lists intercom/auto-answer as being a feature in Cisco Call Manager (which as I understand it, uses SIP predominately for handsets). I've come across comment somewhere that intercom isn't supported in the SIP spec. Does anyone know if the apparent capability of Intercom being available in SIP

[LLVMdev] Q: missing -fPIC in llvmc?
Hello All, On a Debian/AMD64 host I am surprised that there is apparently no way to generate position independent code in shared object (i.e. to output files which are easy dlopen-able without pain)? I probably missed something obvious, but what? I want to compile LLVM assembly source code -suitably generated- into .so as directly as possible... Regards -- Basile STARYNKEVITCH

per virtual pbx VM storage
Is there any way to control the file system location of where Voicemail is stored per virtual PBX? I'm thinking in the context of hosting Virtual PBX customers who would have a disk quota for voicemail and the need to enforce a hard limit. Thanks, Steve Bourg

[LLVMdev] generating a shared object from a single *.ll (LLVM) source?
Hello (my machine is a Debian/Sid/x86-64/Core2) Assuming I have one C source file chello.c, to compile it into a dynamically loadable thru dlopen shared object, I can run gcc -fPIC -shared -O chello.c -o chello.so I thought that, assuming I have one llvm source ehello.ll, the equivalent would be llvmc2 -opt ehello.ll -o ehello.so but it is not that simple. Any clues ? May I also

[LLVMdev] LLVM assembly without basic block

[LLVMdev] open source multithreaded garbage collector suitable for LLVM applications?
Hello All Does any know about some opensource multithread-compatible (or concurrent) garbage collector library, if possible suitable for LLVM? (I mean that I want several mutator threads; the collector can be stoptheworld or concurrent ....) H.Boehm's conservative GC is multithread compatible, but seems quite slow (allocation is about the time of a C malloc). And it is well known that

rolling regression
Dear all, I have spent the last few days on a seemingly simple and previously documented rolling regression. I have a 60 year data set organized in a ts matrix. The matrix has 5 columns; cash_ret, epy1, ism1, spread1, unemp1 I have been able to come up with the following based on previous help threads. It seems to work fine. The trouble is I get regression coefficients but need the immediate

[LLVMdev] LLVM for JIT only use
Dear All, I downloaded the latest CVS of llvm I want to try to use LLVM only for JIT only use (generating code in memory for x86 and, when available PowerPC [32bits]) How do I ./configure to avoid being asked about llvmgcc, which, in my very partial understanding, is only used to parse C code... If I understand correctly what Chris Lattner emailed me, LLVM uses only GCC frontend for C & C++

[LLVMdev] which g++ to compile LLVM CVS on Linux/AMD64?
Hello All, What version of g++ is usable to compile the latest LLVM CVS snapshot on a Linux/x86-64 (AMD64) Debian/ Sid or Etch plateform? What compiler do LLVM dzevelopers use to compile LLVM on Linux/X86-64 systems? IKt seems that most versions of g++ fail to compile LLVM and that some others compile it wrongly (producing buggy code)? Why can't g++-4.1 be used? FWIW, the latest gcc

Verbose output from R CMD check
I've been developing a package called foobar for a couple of years now. It has evolved through various versions, but has always contained compiled C code. Recently, R CMD check has started generating the following message [START QUOTE] R CMD check foobar_1.7.5.tar.gz * using log directory ?/home/david/foobar/package/foobar.Rcheck? * using R version 2.15.2 (2012-10-26) * using platform:

Cisco 7960 Sounds patchy.
I have gotten the Cisco 7960 working with my Asterisk system under SIP. The version is 5.03 that I am using. Cisco Support said I should not upgrade to version 6 yet. My next question is the sound is patchy when people here me. But I can hear them just fine not patchy. I have the 188 page Admin manual and it seem not to say anything about improving the sound. All other phones like IPDialog work
