Dual T400P, SMP, performance issues
Hi, We are trying to validate Asterisk as a media gateway PRI <-> SIP with two T400P (8 T1s) per box. The first experience with BOX1 (Compaq, 2.53 GHz, 1 Gb RAM) and just one T400P was encouraging - on the load test with 3 T1s worth of calls we had on average 75% idle CPU. Not so with BOX2 (Dell, single 2.6 GHz Xeon, 1 Gb RAM, 2 T400P) and BOX3 (Dell, dual 2.6 GHz Xeon, 2 Gb RAM, 2 T400P,

Please Help Test Quad PRI Using NFAS
Please help me test my setup by dialing 800.564.0215 and listen to the queue for a bit. I have a quad port T1 with NFAS setup. I can dial-out but I cannot dial any 800 numbers (Global Crossing says I need LDS service and that will be a couple weeks) so I cant test it myself. I need at least 24 callers to feel comfortable enough that it is working properly. Thanks, Steve Totaro

NFAS Not Passing Audio on B-chan 48,72,96
I have NFAS setup on several quad port T1 cards (Sangoma). It mostly works well with the exception that calls coming in on channels 48,72, and 96 have no audio. I tried removing these channels from zapata.conf with hopes that the channels would not come up or be used. Now I get "Ring requested on unconfigured channel". How can I busyout these these channels so that incoming

Availability of T400P and E400P
Good day everyone, A Solution now exists for those of you still looking for the first model of Quad T1/E1 Interface Cards - the T400P and E400P. The T400P and E400P were manufactured by Digium until a few months ago, and were designed and released under the GNU Public License as the Tormenta II by Zapata Telephony. Varion, Inc. is now in full production manufacturing these boards. With the

OpenSS7 T400P-SS7 and Digium T400P
Hi, I've posted this question on OpenSS7 mailing list but I didn't get a clear answer. I have a system running asterisk using Digium T400P card. Can this same card be used with OpenSS7 project to carry SS7 links? Is there any difference between these two cards? -- Matteo D'Amato Network/Telecom Administrator Intelco Communication Inc

T400P & E400P second source
Since i'm sure there are others out there in the same position as me, being disappointed that the original T400P and E400P cards are no longer available from Digium, I thought I would pass on a place I found to get them. I needed the older card, since I didn't want to have to get a motherboard with 3.3v pci slots on it.

Multiple Digium cards with one NFAS trunkgroup
Hi list, Ive got a server with 6 ports on it (4+2 port card) we have a DS3 delivering all voice DS1's to us. Carrier has a trunkgroup for the first 8 span (we only have the first 6 plugged in right now). Everything works fine until we fail the primary D channel (D's are on 24,48) the secondary then picks up and outbound calls do not work, if we reboot Asterisk the D on 48 comes up and it

Inter-asterisk conferencing delays - IAX2 configuration problem?
Hi We are having a significant (> 1 sec) delay in a multi-asterisk conference, with IAX2 legs connecting meetme on different boxes. All the other legs are PSTN (TE410P). The example configuration Slave box 1 meetme <--- IAX2 ---> Master box meetme <--- IAX2 ---> Slave box 2 meetme The delay is between Slave box 1 and Slave box 2 The primary suspect is our iax configuration

Problem making outbound calls on TE210P using NFAS
Hello, I'm running Asterisk@home 2.5 asterisk 1.2.4 zapatel 1.2.2 libpri 1.2.2 on a Dell Poweredge 2850 (1 CPU) with a TE210P I have 2 t1 circuits using NFAS with dchan on 24 and no backup dchan. I am able to receive inbound calls on all channels and can only make outbound calls on channels 25-48. Attempting to make an outbound call on channels 1-23 results in congestion.

chan_dahdi.conf parser question
My config works fine but I must be missing a concept because a small change gives an unexpected result. Can someone help me understand the chan_dahdi.conf parser that would explain this? Based on the config below, Channels 1-23 are assigned to the context inbound-pri, and Channels 25-47 are assigned to the context outbound-pri. As expected. [trunkgroups] ; We do not do NFAS at this time

SoftFAX/spandsp - txfax
Hi Steve and all, 1. Faxing from asterisk back to the same asterisk (from one Zap channel to another) doesn't work for us. Txfax called with the 'caller' parameter issues CED, while the receiving side needs CNG in order to switch to fax extension with rxfax. 2. This is probably the reason why J2 and our UC don't recognize incoming fax. Thank you. Alex Zarubin Webley Systems

Multi-SPAN (4xE1) Zap Group (Outbound)
Hi, Can someone point me to a zapata.conf example that will create a single DIAL OUT group including all 4 spans on a TE4XXP? One friend says to change the group number all to "1" on all 4 spans. Another suggestions says it is possible to have these unique groups (1-4) and to combine all 4 into a single group "5". I like the second suggestion best. Can you guide me to the
