I'm having problems with dialing out on my POTS line. Successful dial out is intermittent. About 50% of the time the call goes through. The other 50% it is dialing the wrong number. I'm looking to add a single FXO port to my Asterisk box. It looks like my options are a Digium Wildcard X100P off eBay for $6.99, or a Wildcard TDM400P with an FXO Module from Digium for $125. Can anyone explain the tradeoffs (other than the ability to put 4 FXO/FSO modules on the TDM400P). What about RTC for the system - I know the TDM400P provides it. Does the X100P? Thanks!

Hi all, I can't seem to find any info on this anywhere on the web, except that BT caller ID doesnt use the standard bellcore system in use in the US. So, if anyone here in the UK is onlist and using the x100p successfully, please let me know. TIA, Dave

I have two X100P card in my box. I want to connect regular phone (not the phone line!) to one of thse cards. Does anybody think about the same? I don't really want an expensive solution buying additional card with FXS port, I prefer to make something by myself. hi, I got a digit networks x100p card and instaled asterisk. everything went fine and upon calling the phone asterisk issues a notification. Has anyone had any luck with the DEV LITE KIT? I'm getting very erradic behavior. I'll start it up and it will answer maybe one or two calls then hang leaving my phone in an off hook state or giving a loud shrill tone. It keeps saying "Red Alarm". Hi all. I bought Digium's dev kit and a used IBM PL300 PC to try it out in. The X100P works fine, but with the TDM400P I get what I can best describe as 'interrupt noise'... noise whenever I type a key on the keyboard, or when something accesses the disk drive, uses cpu, etc. In my other PC it works fine, no noise and sounds great. But I cannot dedicate the other PC to it.
