cisco ata-186 behind NAT
i have been trying to get a newly liberated (from vonage) cisco ata-186 (sip ios v3.1) working properly with asterisk. my client is behind a linksys wrt-54g, which up to this point hasn't proven to be a problem (i have several sipura spa-2000's and polycom phones working just fine behind them). (i'm running cvs-head from yesterday). after looking at the various suggestions,

Call transfer ATA186
Hi all: I'm testing a new installation of *, bringing up some ATA186. In * environment, all stuff works greats. The only thing that don't work is a Call Transfer, but the 3Party works ok. Some time ago I read that somebody had proven this functionality successfully. If somebody knows what I missing, please let me know. Thanks in advance, Gus -------------- next part -------------- An

Creating a SIP gateway for use behind NAT
Hi all, Here is a graphical diagram of what I am trying to do: <SIP> <---> <GW/NAT/*> <--IAX--> <*> <--TDM400P--> <Analog Phone> So I have incoming SIP calls go to the * on the GW, which I then want to forward over IAX to the second * box behind the NAT GW. If I was to place a call on the second * box, it should then forward to the * on the NAT GW

SIP behind NAT (*sigh*)
Hi guys, sorry to be iterating this on the list once more, but I'm not able to get this stuff to work as I'd expect. So far, I've always managed to keep it out of NAT environments :-> My home LAN is NATed by a simple Draytek router. In the home LAN is an ATA186 with SIP. On the internet (public) is an Asterisk server. I have nat=yes in the sip.conf and the connectmode is set

ATA186 through NAT, over Dialup, success story
Hi, I'm away at a conference in Amsterdam. My home is in Cambridge in the UK. On a whim, I tossed an ATA186 and a phone into my bags before leaving home. I was able to plug my ATA186 into a LAN here at the conference and was connected to my home Asterisk in a few seconds. Total time from unzipping my bag to talking to home no more than 15 seconds. OK, so the kit could be more portable,

Asterisk + BudgeTone (behind NAT)
I'm using Asterisk on a open server (no firewall or NAT) and trying to communicate with a Grandstream BudgeTone 102 SIP phone which is behind NAT. The BudgeTone is at firmware level 1.0.4.30 and Asterisk is from CVS about a week ago. My problem is that I'm only getting half-duplex communication -- I can hear voice from the Asterisk server but the server does not understand any voice from

Realtime fullcontact field contains nat device private ip
Hi All, Has anyone else noticed that when a sip phone sitting behind a nat registers to asterisk using realtime database, the private IP of the phone is put into the fullcontact field instead of the public contact IP. The database has the correct public IP in the ipaddr field and correct port number in the port field, which is actually what asterisk uses to to contact the device. This

NAT and SIP
Hi, Does Asterisk have a limit to how many NAT'ed SIP clients it supports behind a single IP? I have the weirdest problem ever. I have three SIP endpoints. SNOM phones, if it matters. Their extensions are 200, 201 and 202. Apart from the username/password, the sip entries in sip.conf all have identical configuration. They're all NAT'ed behind the same IP. 200 and 202 registers

GLM/GAM and unobserved heterogeneity
Hello, I'm interested in correcting for and measuring unobserved heterogeneity ("missing variables") using R. In particular, I'm searching for a simple way to measure the amount of unobserved heterogeneity remaining in a series of increasingly complex models (adding additional variables to each new model) on the same data. I have a static database of 400,000 or

How do I test a unique index?
I have a loans table and a payments table. Each loan has_many payments. So far no problem. Now, the payments table has a payment_number field, and each payment has a payment_number unique within that loan. For example, Loan A can have payment_numbers 0, 1, and 2 and Loan B can have payment_numbers 0, 1, 2, and 3 (but only one of each payment_number). I can enforce this with a unique index in

find()ing rows w/ NULL columns?
Agile Web Development with Rails doesn''t seem to have NULL in the index [or my eyes have failed me again], and web searching turns up lots of SQL statements containing NOT NULL. I have a table of loans, and I want to record when something was loaned and returned. The loan date can''t be null, or there''d be no entry in the table. The return date must be something

Cannot remove old NS record
Hi All, A while ago I replaced a Samba AD on old hardware with a another AD on newer hardware. Everything went smoothly including the demotion of the old AD. However after I did some cleanup DNS records and turned off the old hardware I noticed that there still was a NS record associated with the old AD. So I went to the wiki page https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/DNS_Administration and

SIP behind NAT: NAT'ted end has to talk first?
I am having problems in a couple of installations where I have SIP phones (both GS101 and ATA186) connecting to an asterisk box that has a public IP address, where the stations are behind NAT. I'm still testing to make sure I have all the permutations looked at, but from what I can tell, what is happening is that in situations where stations behind the NAT call out, no audio is passed

NAT from eth0:0 port 80 to lo port 8080?
I'm stumped. We have a CentOS 4.4 box with something like the following IPs: eth0: 64.61.61.100 eth0:0 64.61.61.112 eth1: 10.0.0.100 lo: 127.0.0.1 (of course) We want requests to 64.61.61.112:80 to be NAT'ed to 127.0.0.1:8080. This seems like it should be really simple -- maybe the following? -- I've tried variants combining this rule with a POSTROUTING rule, tried dnat,
