G729 Beta Codec
Hi Guys,
- if i buy the codec online NOW, will this license work with the new one, or
shoud i wait 'til it is
no longer beta?
- how does the registration work? Will there be a key-file that i can backup
and use on a
new installation of the same machine with the same hardware, or do i have

Anyone knows something similar that would work with asterisk, or any chances
getting this to work?

successful echo cancellation!!! (multitech)
We recently had a customer install that went horribly wrong. Serious
echo (pots lines into a cac cb) that, although * did a good job
getting rid of alot of it, could not get rid of it all. We tried
everything, every canceller, gain setting, etc... combination
possible to no avail.
Both the vegastream and mediatrix boxes also could not get rid of all
of the echo.
So, on an off chance, we

Using LLD to link against third-party libraries? How?
In my code here https://github.com/DragonOsman/currency_converter , I used C++17 and managed to get it to work (though I'm only using std::map::insert_or_assign() from C++17). And I'm using Windows, so I shouldn't use LDFLAGS or CXXFLAGS as environment variables. I'll use them directly on the compiler command line instead. The libraries I need to link against are

Are you linking with a C++ compiler? A lot of those missing symbols
look like they come from the C++ standard library.

I couldn't get it to build libcxx...
You need c++ and c++abi to compile c++ code.

Using LLD to link against third-party libraries? How?
So how do I get it to build libcxx and libcxxabi? I got it from the mono repo and enabled lld, clang, libcxx and libcxxabi. But I built the two main CMake targets only--all_build and install. What else do I have to do? Please let me know.

Using LLD to link against third-party libraries? How?
I need them so I can build stuff using clang or clang-cl with its C++ standard libraries. To make sure that lld-link won't give errors about missing symbols from any standard libraries.
By the way, you wouldn't happen to know how to use link.exe, would you? I might need some help on that to understand how to use lld-link.exe.

Using voice modem as poor man's FXO in Asterisk 1.8
Hi all,
I've tried researching this, and so far, have struggled to find any
contemporary information on the issue, so I do apologise if asking this
irritates people who have answered this before.
I have managed to set up Asterisk 1.8 on the web server here. I have
two softphones (Ekiga) able to communicate with it. So far so good.
I'm now curious to see if I can link it with the PSTN

Samba interface for administrative tools
Hi all,
I have tried to write management tools for samba, but it seems there's
no standard way provided by Samba to change its configuration or modify
users account other than direct modify the config file and or database
backend. This make many tools less portable because it depends on the
backend of samba.
There might be a windows rpc call (use by usrmgr.exe and svrmgr.exe), is

Comments on rails usage
Hello,
I''m the CTO for a new startup. I''ve recommended that we utilise Ruby on
Rails, but my CEO & investors need a little more convincing [new
technology, managing risk, etc..].
Are there any CTO''s or similar of ecommerce startup''s or existing
organisations that have moved to Ruby on Rails that would be willing to
have a 5-10 chat with my CEO about
