Two Rings
I've asked this question in the IRC Channel, and have had no happiness
yet :-(
I have incoming lines hooked to asterisk using X100P's. Unfortunately,
when we cal forward our lines using the phone company, the line still
rings about a half of a time. This is enough to get * to start 'simple
switch' and after my 2 second wait, answer the line. Unfortunately, *
doesn't see the

RE: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #239 - 13 msgs
If anyone is interested in X100P Cards, I have quite a few brand new
ones. Never been opened. $55.00 each, and I'll include ground shipping
anywhere in the U.S.
If you want one or more, email me off list at bbawkon@malibutech.com
And since the discussion has been raging, if you are looking for
support, you should buy a new one from Digium. These are sold as-is,

Beginers Help - Hardware selection
I am new to Asterisk.
I am trying to ascertain the hardware setup (and associated cost) I would need. The documentation in the wiki (and elsewhere) is extensive but I am somewhat lost in product model numbers. Hence I need an initial recommandation to work on.

Initial scenario is to use * as a plain old PBX.

Cisco 7960 - can't traverse NAT?
Might be a stupid question, but is there a default gateway set on the 7960?

KVM NAT stops from working
Hi. First of all thank you for the work you are doing with libvirt.
I am not sure this is the right place to ask, I'd appreciate
if you can give me any hint or directions.
I have several similar KVM Linux boxes and one of them has a really
strange behavior with the KVM NAT: It just suddenly stops from
working.
This is a Linux Ubuntu Server 19.04 with
- libvirt-bin 4.0.0
- qemu-kvm 1:2.11

Cisco 7960 config?
I finally got the power supply for my 7960 and am having problems getting
it working. What should be in sip.conf and the SIP(macaddr).cnf file?
This is what I have in SIP0002FD3BA8F7.cnf

# Line 1 appearance

# Line 1 Registration Authentication

Asterisk -> static nat -> laptop w/siproxd -> cisco 7960
Ok, I have a 7960 that's plugged into my laptop. my home network is
wireless so I don't have a switch anywhere to plug the phone into
directly. I'm running siproxd on my OS X laptop and I can make
outbound calls from the 7960 fine (I guess I don't have the phone
configured to register inbound calls via SIP), but the phone isn't
registering to the asterisk box via siproxd

Cisco 7960G, SIP, NAT, Qualify and Unreachable
Hey,
I just started trying to use the qualify=yes option on my Cisco 7960 SIP
phones. Of the 13 I have, 2 of them seem to loose their registration with
asterisk on a regular basis. I see lots of these lines:
-- Registered SIP '3030' at 62.74.107.1 port 58825 expires 60
in my console. But I only see them for 2 extensions. Never see them for the
other 11. All 13 phones have the exact same

bug in 1.0RC2?
Hello,
I have a small problem with dovecot 1.0RC2. This didn't happen with
former versions. There are imap processes that are left open a long
while after the client disconnected. I am running dovecot on OpenBSD
3.8. Below is the output of a process list. As you can see, there are
many imap processes for the same login running.

Cisco 7960 nat problems.
I have a asterisk server running on site listening on a public ip. Tonight I attempted to connect a Cisco 7960 phone from my home location via sip but failed. My home network is simple, Cox cable connection hooked to a linksys wrt router. The firewall on the linksys router is disabled and I even setup dmz to the phones ip as a last resort. I removed the linksys router and plugged the phone

Asterisk and Cisco 7960
I'm trying to get my Cisco 7960 configured to work with Asterisk, with no
luck. I'm sure I'm missing something very easy... since I know others have
this working. I've stepped through Andy Powell's excellent "Getting Started
with Asterisk", and it works for my X-Lite softphone. My sip.conf entry for
the cisco looks like this:

Cisco 7960, multiple registrations, and NAT
I'm having an interesting problem with a Cisco 7960 phone, and two Asterisk
servers. I'm not sure if this problem is specific to the 7960, or even to
Asterisk for that matter.
Here's the scenario. I have an * server at one location with a public IP
address (i.e. not behing NAT). I have a second * server and 7960 phone at
another location. This one is on a private LAN, and uses NAT to
