[PATCH] dom0 linux: Reassign memory resources to device for pci passthrough.
This patch adds the function that reassign page-aligned memory
resources, to dom0 linux. The function is useful when we assign I/O
device to HVM domain using pci passthrough.
When we assign a device to HVM domain using pci passthrough,
the device needs to be assigned page-aligned memory resources. If the
memory resource is not page-aligned, following error occurs.

ASUS M2V mobo issues
We have 4 systems supported by ASUS M2V mobos with AMD2 cpus on board. No
we haven't gotten CentOS of any flavor to work yet. Yes, we did load Fedora
Core 6 and it worked, with respect to the SATA driver only. There is a
RAID, Audio and LAN driver for Linux that comes on the M2V mobo CD. The
audio driver installs and works fine on FC6. I've read many of the messages

Problems loading CentOS 4.4 on ASUS M2N-MX mobo
I have a brand new ASUS MB model M2N-MX which is giving me issues when
installing Centos 4.4 64 bit
I initially had problems with finding the SATA drives but I resolved that
issue by simply selecting the NVIDIA SATA (sata_nv)driver from the list of
drivers during the initial install.
The install seemed to go fine after that as the installer uses the Generic
VESA video driver during the install,

xen, pvops & nvidia graphics
Hello all, this is my first post to the mailing list, so I hope this is the
right way to ask a question.
I''ve installed xen on my laptop (Asus N51Vf, specs here:
http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=0Tc42s23bOdbbvY5), as I''m currently at
university and don''t have my proper desktop hardware to play with. The
laptop supports IOMMU/Vt-d and has one PCI-e Geforce GT130M

Asus 990FX chip xen iommu not found?
Hi.
I got a asus SABERTOOTH 990FX, reading about vt-d, I read the MoBo
that support IOMMU and there was chip 990FX, them I pick this MoBo,
the BIOS that came with the board was 0402 05/11.
I follow the xen wiki, I''m running Xen 4.1.1 from Gitco on Centos 5.7
x64, by default the MoBo have the IOMMU disable, I enable the feature
IOMMU = 64MB, save the bios settings, restart, turn off

Centos & USB3
I replaced my development machine with 6 cores, 32 GB etc.
I thought it would be simply inserting the existing HDDs and
changing /etc/sysconfig/ifcfg-eth0 but,
* in the UEFI "BIOS" USB2 and USB3 work.
* in C5.11 USB2 works but USB3 does not.
* in C6.5 (my install disk; OS be updated to C6.8) USB2 works but USB3
does not.
On both C5 and C6 lsusb shows an entry for the plugged-in

Centos 5.7 Xen 4.1 AMD 64 from gitco cannot attach usb port to domU windows 7
Hi.
Just wondering is someone have been able to connect usb memory sticks
in xen 4.1-gitco running hvm windows 7?
I use xen 4.1 from gitco, is working without any issue, I need support
for a usb memory stick, but I had not been able to make this works.
Reading xm commands and process, first my MB Biostar A780L3L v6 wont
support IOMMU.
Now exist a doc from xen wiki from someone from Fujitso

OT: USB3 drive occasionally not detected
Hi Folks,

Asrock-Board with 2 USB3 plugs.
Normally USB3-drive is detected. But occasionaly after "umount" next time this
drive or other ones will not be detected.
I have to boot the PC - than it works - till next unrecognition.
On USB2 plugs all works correct.
No messages in /var/log/messages nor dmesg.
What happens here?
Board failure - or other reasons?

cheap mobo/cpu combo with hardware virtualization support?
I''ve currently got a Xen 2 system running on a CL10000 VIA system. I''d
like to upgrade to Xen 3 and make use of the hardware virtualization
support in Xen (sometimes). My requirements then:
1) Cheap CPU. AMD or Intel. Must have Xen3 hardware VM support. Any speed.
2) Lower power consumption from the CPU
3) Cheap mobo to support the chip.
4) Decent raid-1 SATA support on the

Network problems on new CentOS 5 install on P35, ICH9R mobo
Had to replace dying cpu and mobo, so also replaced IDE with new SATA
drive. Installed from latest ISO onto SATA and can't get networking to
lease an IP address from my ISP (Comcast). The network utility always
comes up with a private address (192.168.0.2) instead of Comcast IP.
To add to confusion, if I boot into old IDE drive, I get proper network
connection to internet, but lose my

Cannot get * to work on VIA 800 MOBO
Hi,
I cannot get * to run on my VIA 800 mini-itx MOBO. I keep getting "ouch...broken pipe" errors. I have downloaded mpg123-0.59r and compiled it, so I know that the problem isn't there. I edited *'s Makefile and uncommented the VIA processor section before I compiled Asterisk.
Can someone that's been successful with * and the VIA 800 mobo help me out?
Thanks,
Mike C.
