^C doesnt work on ssh session
Thanks Darren, will check on your response.
I am attaching sshd, ssh logs with debug flags. Please see if it gives any
hint:
when I press ^C in ssh session, no log gets printed in both server/client
side.
Best Regards,

further problems with OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 on RH 6.2
I'm finding another problem with OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 on RH 6.2 (at least,
I think it's the linux box that is the problem).
I'm ssh'ing to a RH 6.2 box from a Solaris 7 server (scp also... seems
like the same problem).
I'm using authorized_keys and identity.pub files to do it automagically,
and all works well when it's from user to user, where the username is the
same, but if

Password Login Failing... (Not sure this went through)
Appologise if this did make it to the list but I just subscribed and
didn't see it come back...
I am attmepting to install ssh/sshd on my RH6.1 Intel Box. Everything
seems to be working (not quite smooth sailing - I had to resort to
precompiled RPM for OpenSSL). I did however get it "working." I
generated a host key as root and then changed back to joe-user. I created

ssh-ed25519 and ecdsa-sha2-nistp256 host keys
Hello.
I am running OpenSSH 7.9p1 on my client and server. ssh-keyscan shows
the server has ssh-rsa, ssh-ed25519, and ecdsa-sha2-nistp256 host
keys. My /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts file contains the server's
ssh-ed25519 host key. When I try to SSH to the server I get this

unexpected behaviour in OpenSSH_3.7.1
Hi,
we have installed OpenSSH_3.7.1 in /usr/local. In our environment all
machines mount /usr/local via NFS and automounter from a server. Because
every machine should use its own keys (otherwise we had to export the
directory with root priviledges so that every machine could read the
private keys from /usr/local/etc/ssh), we created the keys in /etc/ssh
and modified the configuration files

Non-root hostname auth problem
All:
I have a problem connecting Openssh 3.0.2p1 on Solaris 8 using hostname
authentication for non-root users. When I connect to the sshd from a
second machine as root it works fine using HostbasedAuthentication, but it
always fails with non-root users.
I suspect that I am having a permissions problem somewhere, but I'll be
damned if I can figure out where.
Any and all help

sftp-server debug output
Help! I am trying to get debug output working with sftp-server, and
can''t seem to find the appropriate information to get it working. Yes,
I have recompiled sftp-server to include defining DEBUG_SFTP_SERVER. I
found that myself in the code before finding it in several postings as
the common answer to others having this problem.
In addition, I have set up the sshd_config file

openssh-4.2p1 + Pam question !
Hi there !
I have an issue with my OpenSSH + PAM configuration on a RedHat Advanced server 2..1
I want to authenticate users connecting to a server using ssh against a radius server. The radius client/server part works ok when I test it with some utilities.
I think I have a problem with my ssh which does not pass the username/password to my pam sshd module.
I have upgraded to openssh-4.2p1.

Hostbased Authentication Question
Hi,
I am still working on getting hostbased authentication working in
OpenSSH 3.5p1. I emailed the user list, and got no response. It seems so
simple, yet I have continued to have problems getting it working properly.
I've read posts about it on this list, and the openssh-unix-dev list, and
nothing I have tried seems to work. My question is this, does it matter
which key, either

sshkey
Hello all,
How are you using the sshkey type? Are you using it to list hosts and keys in a class that nodes include in order to manage /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts or something else? How does any of this relate to the sshrsakey and sshdsakey facts on the host? I read some stuff about this on the Virtual Resources page but it''s too vague for my simple mind and I''d be reluctant to use

unable to login with LDAP when set Uselogin to yes
Hi,
I am not sure this is a bug in Openssh or not.
I am running Openssh 4.1p1. with openssl 0.9.7g
Scenario:
Due to audit enabled on the system, I will need to set Uselogin to yes so
that audit will track system call.
But when try to login to system with a LDAP user. I get the following.
eg:
[n113839 at r3ent15pc ~]$ ssh tfstst1 -l ntesting1
ntesting1 at tfstst1's password:
Login incorrect

Centos hold me back from work - sshd ...bull
The problem is not with your installation of CentOS, it is with the
computer you are connecting from. Read the error log you pasted earlier, it
tells you exactly what the problem is and how to remedy it:

sshkey resource type in Ubuntu 10.04
Hi,
I''m attempting to distribute a known host ssh key (for github) to an
Ubuntu 10.04 host. Puppet is distributing the key into /etc/ssh/
ssh_known_hosts as:
github.com ssh-rsa [really long ssh-rsa key]
However, Ubuntu seems to expect the key in this format:
|1|[really long ssh-rsa key]
(note all the keys in my known_hosts and ssh_known_hosts not managed
by puppet are prepended with
