Request information about the patch "57d10cb"
Could somebody explain the below patch which is added in openssh6.8.P1?. During the netconf test at the end customer site it causes performance degradation. Would this cause any other issues if we revert this patch in openssh 6.8.P1? commit 57d10cbe861a235dd269c74fb2fe248469ecee9d Author: markus at openbsd.org <markus at openbsd.org> Date: Mon Jan 19 20:16:15 2015 +0000 upstream

Feature request: more information sent to ProxyCommand
I use ProxyCommand is connect to several servers, but the command executed doesn't know the difference between being called for ssh or scp; in the latter case, I'd like to set QoS bits so the traffic is flagged as bulk. Would it be possible to send additional information to the proxy command so it can make better decisions about how to relay its traffic? -------------- next part

Hiding version information
Greetings, I have seen a couple of postings about hiding the version information from clients. I had modified my copy of 3.4p1 to include two additional configuration options that accomplish this task and a bit more. I had posted this to the general users list, but after thinking about it, I thought that it might be good to post it here as well. * Does a feature like this have any impact on

[RFE] Request support for FIPS mode support
Greetings, As those working in the government sector (US and Canada) already know, compliance with FIPS 140-2 is a significant issue. While there are a few patches out there that add support for FIPS mode to OpenSSH, it is not currently in the mainstream. With the recent validation of the 1.2 version of the OpenSSL FIPS cryptographic object module, is there any chance that support could be added

Request for reviewing lsetstat patch
Dear all, With openssh 6.6 out the door, I want to make a case to add lsetstat to sftp-server. The patches are provided in bug 2067. I hope they can be incorporated in the next version.I have them running for a year on several systems already and they work fine IMHO. At the moment sftp is not able to set timestamps on symlinks. In order to make this possible lsetstat needs to be implemented.

How disable forwarding-only connections (i.e. non-shell/command non-sftp connections)? (Maybe this is a feature request!)
Hi! I tried with all available options to disable forwarding-only connections, by: "AllowAgentForwarding no AllowTcpForwarding no" This had no effect, so what I got in effect was dummy connections. I would like to disable this "class" of connections altogether. The outcome will be that all authenticated connections will lead to a command, be it /usr/libexec/sftp-server

feature request: modify getrrsetbyname() to use libunbound
Dear OpenSSH Developers, I'm a member of the Debian System Administration (DSA) team. [1] We manage the Debian Projects computing infrastructure. Recently, DSA had the opportunity to address a member's request that we begin using certificates to authenticate Debian Project machines to ssh clients. We provided a lengthy reply, the summary of which is "we publish SSHFP records; use

Password change request
Are there any plans to support the SSH_MSG_USERAUTH_CHANGEREQ message (part of ssh v2 authentication protocol). We have an SSH server for RTOSs that is able to send that message. So we're interested in support in the ssh client. Roger Bod?n INTERPEAK Box 7498 SE-103 92 Stockholm Sweden Office: +46 8 545 275 80 Fax: +46 8 545 275 99 www.interpeak.com

Hello
Hello, I have just joined your mailing list, and I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Kern Sibbald, I live in Switzerland, and I am not a US citizen or employed by any company (no license problems). I've been programming for about 35 years now and would like to possibly make a few contributions to OpenSSH. I had previously installed ssh 1.x? then ssh2, which is rather nice, but

Request for obfuscating the handshake
Dear OpenSSH team, First of all thanks a lot for your good work on developing such a usable peace of software. Nice job. As you may know, we have some issues using OpenSSH in Iran. Recently the government did some packet filtering on some protocols, including SSH. We don't know what exactly they've done but it appears to be some routing rule that prevents SSH protocol to initiate a
