estimation stable distribution parameters
Hi,
I am wondering whether anyone of you already implemented in R or S+ the
methods of estimation the parameters of stable distribution. If there is, i
will be happy to get the copy of the codes.

OpenSSH_4.3p2 fails to create a pty session
I am out of ideas about what the problem is. I am using the default
sshd_config installed by the port. I can authenticate, copy files, and
start processes, but sshd fails to create a tty session. This happens
from remote machines and creating a session from the host machine. I
find the following under messages.

[Bug 1131] buffer_append_space: alloc not supported Error with V 4.2p1

------- Comment #5 from dtucker at zip.com.au 2006-02-14 22:17 -------
Also, what compiler did you use to compile OpenSSH? If you compile OpenSSH
(and openssl and zlib if possible) with optimization disabled (-O0) does the
error still occur?

Hi,
I'm getting this error when I ssh to the servers.

I added /etc/hosts.allow and it actually worked once and if I tried again I get the same error.

imap cores
Experts,
(Now that I am able to run imap...)
Here's what I am seeing with imap, it seems to die in the latest
nightly. (tss, I am still trying to get dbx to work properly, maybe it
won't, but I got some more details here.)

problem with ssh/rsync to minix
Moin,
I just tried to use ssh/rsync from my linux box to minix, but
found a problem with ssh.
The environment:

Hung connection over Juniper Tunnel
Hello list!
So I recently reconfigured our office network to allow a permanent VPN
connection to our data center. This consists of a Juniper SSG-520
connected via a tunnel to a Juniper Netscreen-25 over a 100M leased
NTT VPN (yes I'm tunneling over the VPN as it's the only way to make
it routable.) Here is where OpenSSH come in. When I try and ssh to a
machine on the other end

Need to sftp with automatic login from 1 aix machine to another, the id on the target is a DCE(DFS) id
Hi,
I had a question and can not find out on the web where anyone might have
done this. I am sftping
between one AIX machine and another using automatic login. I have created
the id_rsa.pub on the
source server and added it to the /.ssh/authorized_keys file on the target
server. The problem we
are having seems to be that because the target id is a DCE(DFS) id and it's
home directory is

Possible issue with stdio forwarding
Greetings,
I've been doing a little testing with the stdio forwarding support added
in recent snapshots and have encountered one possible issue. First, I
should say that this feature generally seems to work. However, I haven't
been able to get it to work when connecting to a server running
SSH.COM's product.
The config file I am using is fairly simple:

------- Comment #18 from cove at wildpackets.com 2006-03-17 09:06 -------
It could be a bug in cryptlib, but I had the same problem with libssh and the
first comment in this bug report is with a 3rd implementation.

openssh-3.0p1, auth2.c
openssh-3.0p1 still contains the bug which I already reported on Sept. 28 2001
for 2.9p2, namely, the trailing dot in chost should be stripped before calling
auth_rhosts2() even with option "HostbasedUsesNameFromPacketOnly yes".
Otherwise, the host names in /etc/hosts.equiv and .rhosts would have to be
dot-terminated. Fix: Move lines 776-779 of auth2.c upwards to after line 767.

OpenSSH Hangs After Successful Authentication
Greetings...
** Short Description / Abstract **
Using my _internal_ WiFi card, OpenSSH succeeds to local (internal) LAN
hosts, but hangs after authentication to external LAN hosts; however
PuTTY works for all hosts.
Using an _external_ WiFi card, OpenSSH does succeed to all LAN hosts (as
did PuTTY, still, as well).
