[PATCH] sftp-server Restricted Access
Hello,
This patch makes it possible to restrict sftp sessions to a certain
subtree of the file system on a per-Unix account basis. It requires a
program such as rssh or scponly to function. A patch for rssh is also
attached to this email.
The method employed uses realpath() and a string comparison to check
that each file or directory access is allowed.
With this patch, sftp-server takes a

Uniquely Identifying the Local TTY of an SSH Connection
Hi,
I'm working on a tool for persistent terminal sessions that works much
like tmux, and I would like to be able to make it so that people can
set things up so that when they ssh onto a remote host, they
automatically connect to a persistent session based on the local
terminal they are connecting from. The idea would be that users can
just type `ssh my-host` if their connection drops and

Or just create bash (or whatever your favorite shell equivalent is) alias?
alias issh=?sah -F ~/.ssh/altcinfig?
Or wrapper scripts in ~/bin/ you can invoke?
Literally what I do for mosh, mosh+screen etc.

Feature request/EOI: Match interactive config?
Hey there,
I often want different behavior in my ssh client depending on whether I'm logging into an interactive session or running a remote non-interactive command. We can see at, say, https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/499562/305714 that this isn't a unique wish, and existing solutions are kind of baroque. Typical reasons to do this are to immediately go into a screen or tmux session; for

X11 forwarding and session multiplexing
Hi,
A user has noticed that X11 forwarding does not appear to work when using session
multiplexing. It seems that the DISPLAY environment variable is not getting
set in the slave sessions.
Any thought? The ~/.ssh/config ib below.
Host somehost-master
ControlMaster yes
ControlPath ~/.ssh/somehost.sock
HostbasedAuthentication no
HostName somehost
Host somehost-slave

hello ssh list,
long time user of openssh, but relatively new to the concept of ssh
multiplexing. i'm experiencing some issues and i haven't figured out how to
troubleshoot it just yet. would appreciate some help if possible.
i'm using ssh as a communications mechanism to pass text file based
messages between 2 hosts. There are programs on each side that send and
receive these
