runif and sample with reproducibility
Hello,
I would like to sample a population but the result needs to be
reproducible, using 'runif' or 'sample' is the good way to do it but I
can't manage to make the results reproducible even with the 'set.seed'
function.
My aim is that th call to 'sample(1:100,10)' gives always the same result,
how can I do that?
Thanks!

Don't you mean 96/24? Also, which platform (*nix, Mac, Windows)?

How to collect the Rtools to build packages
After reading the readme.packages file, I would like to install the R tools
in order to build my own packages, but the internet portal
http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/Rtools/ hasn't been working since a few days.
Where can I get the file tools.zip?
Thank you!

Problem with vignettes
Hello,
I'm trying to insert a vignette as a word document in my package. After compiling and installing the package, the word file is in the doc directory, but no link in the html
index for vignettes is created. I tried with a pdf file and there is the same problem. It seems that only sweave format files are taken into account, is it normal? Is there
something special to do to take other file

Arima with an external regressor
Hello,
Does anybody know if the function arima with an external regressor (xreg)
applies the auto correlation on the dependant variable or on the residuals.
In comparison with SAS (proc autoreg), it seems that the auto correlation
applies on the residuals but i'd like to have the confirmation.
I want to estimate:
Y[t] = a[1]*X[t] + a[2] + E[t]
with E[t]=b[1]*E[t-1]
Should I use :

IR inline assembly: the x86 Intel "offset" operator
Interesting - the patch doesn't address this yet. It looks like we have a
difference (maybe bug?) in how we handle Intel vs. AT&T inline assembly:
https://godbolt.org/z/GQw9ED
Suppose we're expanding an operand with an 'i' constraint, where the
operand is given as, e.g. (i32* @Bar).
If the inline assembly is in Intel dialect, this expands as "Bar" in AT&T
syntax

How much space is needed to install samba??
Dear samba support team,
I am very interested to use samba for "talking"
between Windows machine and Unix machine.
May I know how much space is needed to install samba on the server?
Thanks in advance for your great feedback.

flac conversion
You could also try SoX. It looks like that program could convert directly from FLAC to MP3, but I haven't tried it.
I have a Sound Devices recorder that supports FLAC, but it doesn't play all files from external sources. It's great for recording to FLAC, but not so good for playing files purchased online in FLAC format.

Ordering BRI From AT&T
Hello everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have a business customer in
the U.S. (Michigan, AT&T Territory).
I need to get 4 trunks into an asterisk Box. My intention is to use an
Eicon Diva Server card with 2 BRI Circuits. The reason for this is that
the business needs DID's on the trunks (20 of them). A full or fractional
PRI is overboard for them, as they will

Two PRI setup questions
I am in the process of implementing a new ISDN pri and have a couple of questions. This is a full 24 channels (23 B and 1 D) delivered over a T1 interface. The interface looks good and is not showing any errors. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
1) What switchtype should be configured in the zapata.conf file when AT&T is using CUSTOM? My understanding is that

AT&T PRI Install - What is outpulsed?
Hey All,
AT&T is installing a PRI in a couple weeks and while I've been doing
homework on PRI's for the last few weeks there's something I'm still
confused about. After being asked how many digits I wanted them to send
us (10) was how many digits will you outpulse to us, 4, 7 or 10? I asked
her what that meant and all I got was the question repeated. Do any of

Entity conversion glitch?
Hello,
Given the following text:
under a license from AT&T; however, others were based on BSD instead.
Daring Fireball's Markdown Dingus produces:
<p>under a license from AT&T; however, others were based on BSD
instead.</p>
Note how the '&' is not escaped to '&'.
Bug? Feature?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
PA.

[LLVMdev] Intel vs. AT&T Assembly.
The Intel version is just a clone of the AT&T version at this time. No
one has yet taken the time to make it produce actual Intel syntax.
