88.2 Khz files
Hi, Does anyone know of a technical reason why FLAC cannot support 88.2 Khz files? I have a reason to uses this rate since it is easy to perform quality conversions from 24 bit 88.1 Khz master files (stored as flac files) to 16 bit 44.1 khz files for CD mastering purposes. I suppose I could Kludge the wav files so that they were half speed wav files at 44.1 khz and then hand the over to Flac, but

openssh 4.0p1 under OSX
I'm having difficulty getting ssh to connect as any local user under OSX 10.3.8. The odd thing is ssh -l root localhost works fine as a normal user, whereas ssh -l themac localhost (or from any host for that matter) does not. OpenSSH 4.0p1 ignoring password authentication
Hello, I recently compiled OpenSSH 4.0p1 with OpenSSL 0.9.7g on my Linux 2.6.11.3 machine. When I try to connect, the connection is immediately closed. When I setup public key authentication, I am able to login using my public key. However password authentication seems to be ignored. I attached debugging output from both the server and client. $ ssh -vvv localhost OpenSSH_4.0p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7g

Re: Denoising only
Hi, I don't think this is the right list but since it is the only speex related list on the XIPH list, her it goes. Flame away if you wish or, if your feeling generous, tell me what list to post on. How do you "denoise" only without compressing the file? The documentation implies it is possible. It says on page 9 of manual.pdf, "The denoiser can be used to reduce the amount

I found this problem when working with the Suse9.1 distribution, but have since reproduced it with a vanilla build of Openssh (openssh-3.9p1.tar.gz). Basically I cannot get a command like this: XXXX>ssh -vvv -1 -o "RhostsAuthentication yes" AAAA to work. Yes the appropriate settings are in the servers sshd_config file. Problems on ssh and Cygwin
Hi, I was given you name by a colleague of mine as someone who may be able to help me with ssh and Cygwin. I've set up Cygwin and ssh - but every time I run ssh it asks me for my password. I want to set this up so I can use keys for the user and host pair to stop this happening, but have had no success. The id_dsa.pub file generated by ssh-keygen actually starts with "ssh-dss",

Problems with RhostRSAAuthecntication and UsePrivilegeSeparation (RH9, 2.4.20-42.9.legacybigmem)
Hi, for some days now I am/was fighting with an annoying problem. I have to support an environment where RhostRSAAuthecntication via /etc/ssh/sshd_known_hosts is used for password-less login. This works fine with RH7.3 (and RH8) and openssh versions openssh-3.1p1-3 (and openssh-3.4p1-2). Our customer has now requested an upgrade to RH9. That comes with openssh-3.5p-11 and the password-less
