Problem while exiting sftp on SX-6...
Hi, I am trying to run sftp on SX-6 and it is giving me problem when I try to exit from sftp. On pressing ^D or entering "bye" on sftp prompt, sftp hangs. And I have to press ^C to quit. The versions are: - 1. openssh-3.1p1 on both client and server. 2. Both client (sftp) and server (sshd) are running on SX-6 It appears that the client and server are hanging on "select". I am appending the debug messages below. The same problem is repeated if I run server of SX-6 and client on P-II running on Red Hat 7.1 and openssh-3.1p1. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Server Side: - # ./sshd -d -p 12020 -f /usr/local/etc/sshd_config debug1: sshd version OpenSSH_3.1p1 debug1: private host key: #0 type 0 RSA1 debug1: read PEM private key done: type RSA debug1: private host key: #1 type 1 RSA debug1: read PEM private key done: type DSA debug1: private host key: #2 type 2 DSA debug1: Bind to port 12020 on 0.0.0.0. The problem you are experiencing may already have been fixed in newer versions of the software, 3.1p1 is quite old. On another note, I think it's very good that you are testing openssh on this SX-6 platform, which I didn't even know existed before your emails. :) //Peter

Problem while exiting sftp on SX-6...
The problem is still there in OpenSSH 3.5p1 version too. We tried it with 3.5p1 on both client and sever. Also we tried it with client as 3.1p1 and sever (SUPER-UX) as 3.5p1. Please suggest. thanks, Ajit -----Original Message----- From: Manish Kumar Srivastava, Noida Sent: Tuesday, December 31, 2002 11:28 AM To: Ajit Vaishampayan (E-mail) Subject: FW: Problem while exiting sftp on SX-6...> -----Original Message----- > From: Peter Stuge [mailto:stuge-openssh-unix-dev at cdy.org] > Sent: Tuesday, December 31, 2002 1:35 AM > To: Manish Kumar Srivastava, Noida > Cc: openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org > Subject: Re: Problem while exiting sftp on SX-6... > > > On Mon, Dec 30, 2002 at 06:19:53PM +0530, Manish Kumar > Srivastava, Noida wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I am trying to run sftp on SX-6 and it is giving me problem when > > I try to exit from sftp.
