For packaging you want the install-nokeys rule not install.

OpenSSH 4.7: call for testing.
Hi All.
OpenSSH 4.7 is preparing for release so we are asking for any interested
folks to please test a snapshot. The main changes are:
* sshd(8) in new installations defaults to SSH Protocol 2 only.
Existing installations are unchanged.
* The SSH channel window size has been increased, which improves
performance on high-BDP networks.
* ssh(1) and sshd(8) now preserve MAC

I'm currently using Samba 3.0.10 binary from Bull AIX Freeware.
http://www.bullfreeware.com/download/aix52/samba-3.0.10.0.bff
I already configured Samba as a Domain member and ran winbind
to authenticate with Domain controller. However, I have no luck
to transfer any file larger than 2GB.
Here is the error from Samba log file

Software for AIX available [WAS: AIX Testers Needed].
ftp://ftp.hvcc.edu/pub/pware/aix52/
The ftp site above contains IBM installp format packages that install into
/opt/pware so it doesn't interfere with existing /usr/local installations.
A few packages (BDB, MySQL, Apache and Samba) can have several versions
installed concurrently, others are replaced on upgrade.
Some packages of interest include GCC 4.1.1, Apache 2.0.59 with PHP 5.2.0

Help with SWAT
Hello all,
I just installed 3.0.24 in AIX5.3 using installp binaries. The install went
well, and I can connect to shared directories from Windows. When I try to
log in to the SWAT tool, it does not accept the password of any userid that
I try with, including root. I don't recall having to do anything special to
use SWAT on my older servers running SAMBA 2.2.8.
I have added the following

R-1.8.0 + IBM VisualAge/C for AIX compiler
A while ago I compiled R 1.7.0 for AIX (with the above compiler - I'll
call it xlc) and I was surprised that it went quite smoothly.
Unfortunately with R 1.8.0 it's not as easy, but I succeeded at least
partially. Static R works fine (after some tweaking), but
--enable-R-shlib fails resp. produces a buggy R. Following are the
problems I encountered (in a warning-to-fatal-error

Samba sessions
Hi,
We have implemented a new AIX 5.3, P55A using Samba...we have about 70
users online most of the day. We assign a particular Samba share to
everyone when they login so it shows up in their Windows Explorer. Is
it standard that we see so many "smbd" processes running when I do a "ps
-ef"? Here is a portion of the output below. We have been experiencing
lag at times

OpenSSH 3.9p1 bug, .hushlogin is ignored
Hello Darren! Hello OpenSSH (portable) users!
After updating from OpenSSH 3.8.1p1 to OpenSSH 3.9p1 on my
Fedora Core 2 Linux box, the "sshd" no longer respects
"~/.hushlogin" to get a quiet and silent login. Now I get
the noisy "Last login: somedate from somehost" line.
I really loved that feature. ;-)
The problem is related to a change in "session.c",

OpenSSH.org Differences Between 3.9p1, 3.8p1, and 3.7p1
Can someone tell me where I can find a list of changes made between
these releases of openSSH?
I saw the diff files available for the various releases but I'm
looking for something more akin to release notes that will give me an
overview of the changes between releases.
Thanks; Phil
