does SSH.COM really in fact approve of the generic meaning of "SSH"?
I hate to open up a discussion that may already be closed (I haven't really followed the trademark dispute other than via the postings to NewsForge, and in particular the one on March 7), and I can't find on www.openssh.com an obviously more appropriate address to send this thought to, so.... [note my reply-to address] though the message below purports to come from <owner-ssh at

sftp can't preserve uploaded mtime: fsetstat: No such file or directory
I've just tried that. It still fails. Is it possible to dump the decrypted sftp commands? I tried -vvv but found nothing interesting. The Total Commander plugin calls: libssh2_sftp_setstat(ConnectSettings->sftpsession, thename,&attr) What does the command line client use? -------- Original Message -------- From: Brian Candler [mailto:b.candler at pobox.com] Sent:

WARNING TO ALL - I just got what appears to be an infected Word document attachment via the list. The apparently forged headers look suspicious, too. Bug Report : openssh-3.0.1p1
The configure script, when checking for libz, uses the compiler flag -ldb If the machine doesn't have -ldb (e.g. OSF1 V3.2 alpha), the script reports an error finding -lz. As far as I can tell, the rest of the build doesn't use -ldb, so removing -ldb from the script fixes the problem -- Gareth Owen

Hi. I use openssh-client 1:8.9p1-3ubuntu0.6 and I'm trying to upload files to EFT Server. contrib/solaris/buildpkg.sh - use within JumpStart as well?
Hello, I don't know how off the wall this question will be, but first let me say that I've found your buildpkg.sh script very useful in creating an OpenSSH package for use on my Solaris systems. Currently I'm trying to set up a fully automated JumpStart system at my workplace, and I'm realizing that the 'postinstall' script (and possibly some of the other install scripts)

sftp can't preserve uploaded mtime: fsetstat: No such file or directory
I'm connecting to "EFT Server" https://www.globalscape.com/eft and it has an SFTP module. It has nothing to do with OpenSSH, but enterprise likes it for some reason. I don't control the server. Looks like EFT doesn't support SSH2_FXP_FSETSTAT (working with a file handle), but it does support SSH2_FXP_SETSTAT (working with a file path). OpenSSH sftp only uses
