Illegal OpCode on PXE exit with syslinux-6.0{1,2}
Hi, while testing syslinux-6.01_pre6 and syslinux-6.02_pre5 I noticed an illegal OpCode error on PXE exit. To reproduce: 1) Install syslinux-6.0x PXE environment 2) Use a config like I use (seems like this is getting triggered when the local boot menu entry will be executed) -> http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=6tjqUAwX 3) Just let a client boot from network. It will hit timeout and the default

openssh 2.2.0p1 and F-secure SSH ftp
Howdy, I'm sorry if this is a FAQ but I couldn't reach the openssh.com website so I can't check. Is it possible to use F-Secure SSH FTP 4.1 (client) with the openssh2.2.0p1 server? In the documentation I read that sftp is still on the todo list but "SecureFX (secure ftp)" is supported. Apparently this means there are different ways to do ftp with ssh? In that case which

Simple fix to horrible bug in Samba website CSS
Dear Folks, For a long time I have been unable to read the menu at the left of http://samba.org/ in my 1920x1440 display. All the menu items overwrite each other in a horrible, illegible jumble. I thought it might be a bug in firefox or something. Then I investigated, and found that there is actually a serious bug in the cascading style sheet for the web site. The problem is in

Revised website logo
I suggest to change the website logo from https://www.openssh.com/images/openssh.gif to a smaller PNG version instead. You also save roughly 20k per image http request as well. Illegal characters in filename?
I have a server that uses both NFS and Samba. I noticed on a Windows client that some directories and files were in the 8.3 format, and clicking on them resulted in an "Access denied." message. I've since upgraded to 3.5.0 - now the "Access denied." message is gone and I can enter and open files, but all of the names are shown in the 8.3 format and are almost unreadable. I

Latest chromium i686 - Illegal Instruction
Hi, I recently upgraded chromium on a 32-bit CentOS 6.4 system yesterday to version to chromium-28.0.1500.95-213514.i686. I then ran the chrome_pepperflash_copy.sh script, but my copy of the script was before it was modified to check the architecture so it downloaded the 64 bit chrome rpm and installed that version of pepper. I tried to run chromium but was greeted with "Illegal

Conversion error: Illegal multibyte sequence
Hello list, I've noticed this problem for a few years now, I think. I see it popped out now and then in discussions. But they always end before a solution is given. So let's try one more time :-) I have plenty of UTF-8 named files and directories. It's UTF-8 all round, I don't use anything else, so I have no doubt the byte sequences are correct in the filesystem (I happen to

[LLVMdev] Making GEP into vector illegal?
Hi Duncan, I can see your point that arrays are similar except for the alignment restrictions when representing them in memory. However, the two constructs serves different purpose for me. I don't think of a vector isA array. A vector is a construct that supports a form of parallelism. It is a container that allow people to expression some element wise parallelism in a

openssh remote add user exploits?
Hello. Recently I discovered some kind of exploit of openssh used against me. For configuration info, I am using Mandrake 8.2 with the openssh package openssh-3.1p1-1mdk. Fortunately, I was at least somewhat security-aware, and have an AllowUsers parameter in my sshd config file. I Used to allow only public key logins, but ditched that when I found myself needing access from multiple places. I

OpenSSH entropy/PRNG (was: Why does ssh try to run df, netstat, arp ...?)
Nico-- SSH is trying to "get entropy" by taking the (somewhat-deterministic) output of a bunch of system commands, on those OSs that don't provide a /dev/random or its equivalent. The commands that it uses are in /etc/ssh_prng_cmds or its equivalent on your system; just comment out any of the lines (and stop/restart SSHd) in order to change which system commands are used as inputs
