OpenSSH 3.7.1p2 with OpenSSL 0.9.7c installation on HP-UX 11.0 enquiry?
Dear All, I can install OpenSSH 3.7.1p2 with OpenSSL 0.9.7c on HP-UX 11.0 without problem. However, I find that all valid accounts are treated as "locked" (even specify "AllowUsers USER1" in sshd_config) and can't make SSH connection to the server. Here is the message shown in syslog.log. Oct 3 16:49:17 SERVER_NAME sshd[12994]: User USER1 not allowed because account is

3.7.1p1 PAM Problems in RedHat 6.2
I've corresponded with several different techs at a major dedicated webhosting provider and they too so far have not been able to determine why the newest version of OpenSSH 3.7.1p1 is conflicting with PAM on our server running RedHat linux 6.2. I've also tried installing 3.7.1p1 on other RedHat 6.2 servers and the exact same PAM problems. But on 7.1 RedHat servers I've had absolutely

Bus Error with openssh 3.7.1p1 on 64-bit Sparc/Solaris
I compiled openssh 3.7.1p1 on Solaris 9 with the Forte compiler in 64-bit mode. After authentication, a forked child of sshd dies with a Bus Error in `read_etc_default_login' (session.c). The reason is the use of `sscanf' with control string "%5lo" on a `mode_t' value. On Solaris in 64-bit mode, `mode_t' is an `unsigned int' (32 bits), whereas `long' is 64

problems with 3.7.1p1 on IRIX (again)
Hi, I've seen a few messages re. problems with 3.7.1p1 on IRIX 6.5... I'm using 6.5.19 and having no trouble compiling, installing and starting, but sshd just closes the connection with no explanation. debug/verbose modes don't seem to give any clues. Darren Tucker suggested defining BROKEN_GETADDRINFO in config.h, but I find that compilation then fails (assuming I've implemented

OpenSSH 3.7.1p1
Hi, RE: OPenSSH Problems I created a package for OpenSSH 3.7.1p1 (by using openssl-0.9.7b and zlib-1.1.4). We are trying to deploy the created package in all of our servers, which is already installed different versions of OpenSSH and SSH. I was successful for few servers. In one of our server after doing pkgadd and when i am trying to generate keys i am getting the following errors.

3.7.1p1 appears to break pam session.
Hi, I am running FreeBSD 4.7 and openssh 3.7.1p1. I have enabled PAM usage and indeed, I can use PAM for authentication purposes. Since configure does login_cap.h, the preprocessor is side stepping do_pam_session() altogether in session.c:do_setusercontext(). Here is my patch for session.c. My understanding about portability issues is rather limited. I would very much appreciate if you

openssh 3.7p1 and 3.7.1p1 Solaris problems
I have some Solaris 7 boxes (Ultra 3 and Ultra Enterprise 250 hardware) that I have compiled both 3.7p1 and 3.7.1p1 on and am having some problems. I am using the same "configure" options that I have in the past (without problems). I have tried both new and existing (previously working) ssh_config and sshd_config files. The new versions seem to have broken SSH 1 support (and

sshd (openssh 3.7.1p1) dies during login on Solaris 8 system with SRM installed
I have compiled ssh 3.7.1p1 using gcc and am trying to get it to run on our Solaris 8 systems running Sun's SRM system. With existing users it is fine, but with a new user, the user can not ssh in on the first login, they get the message from SRM that no lnode has been created. I put sshd in debug and found that it SEG's here: debug3: mm_sshpam_free_ctx: waiting for

Enquiry regarding Apply
I want to compute a new variable (newvar) based on the values of two other variables (t1freq, t2freq).The two variables (t1freq,t2freq) are contained in a dataframe - study1dat <- read.csv("c:\\study1rb.csv",header=T) . I gather this computation can be done using Apply and I have run the following example from the help menu ## Compute row and column sums for a matrix: x

Enquiry on Vrtest
Hi there, I am currently working on my dissertation which is about testing the martingale hypothesis in the stock market using a methodology involving a range of variance ratio tests and multiple variance ratio tests. I contacted the author of a reference paper and I was told that the tests can be conducted using R programming language. Although I have gone through the theoretical background of

dim enquiry
This is a minor question, but is there any difference between the two objects fred <- structure(1:10, dim = c(2,5)) and fred <- structure(1:10, .Dim = c(2,5)) Should I be using one rather than the other?
