the status report shows that SMBD is not running (NMBD is running). Later, I
tried
to start SMBD with SWAT, but the problem remains.
Could anybody give me a hint about how to make

Re: two computers set up ... now what?

Now you just need a "phone" or "station" (FXS) device and a method of
connecting it.

So... essentially I need to spend another $125 US on a Wildcard TDM400P so I
can plug in an analog phone?
On the X100P description it says:
"The X100P supports FXS Loopstart and "Kewlstart" (Loopstart with far end

forwarding to a wider audience - KbdInteractiveDevices???
Could someone provide a description of the config setting
KbdInteractiveDevices
And how it would be used.
There is no mention of this here:
http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi?query=ssh_config&sektion=5&arch=&apropos=0&manpath=OpenBSD+Current
And a quick glance of the source doesn't seem to reveal much.
Thanks in advance,

I am experiencing exactly the same problems like described below.
I do not have a solution right now, but I found a work-around that may
help you.
As soon as I change the security parameter in the smb.conf file
from security=user to security=share, mounting shares to Pocket
PC seems to work. (HP iPAQ 4150 running Windows Mobile 2003)
I am running SAMBA V 3.0.2.a and 2.6.4.2-52 kernel

On the destination host (host_name) I have:
/home/backups/host_name/
and I want to backup the source host to this dir so that at the end of the

Basic doubts
Hi all,
I am very new to the rsync world (as well as the linux world) and have
some really basic doubts. Please bear with me.
I installed RH 9 on two systems in the same network and Rsync 2.5.5 was
automatically installed with it. When I executed the command “rsync –avz
test.txt /backupdir/ ”, it backed up the file test.txt into
backupdir/test.txt. But when I tried the command “rsync
