Removing folder at destination
Hello,
Rsync 2.6.9
Mac OS interacting with Windows servers.
My Rsync command: rsync -rvz --exclude-from=exclude.txt source destination.
I copy large files from server A to server B excluding multiple directories
which rsync quickly and beautifully executes.
What I end up with at destination is these folders.
01_us_eng...
2_ASSETS
3_web
4_print
I manually then move the

can a variable be redefined within extensions.conf
Can I define a variable in globals like this:
[globals]
timeout=60
and then in another context, redefine that same variable and only have
the new value affect the call that hit that particular extension ?
[example]
exten => _9NXXXXXX,1,DBget(blah/blah)
exten => _9NXXXXXX,102,Goto(3)
exten => _9NXXXXXX,2,SetVar(#timeout=20)
exten => _9NXXXXXX,3,Dial(${PSTN},${EXTEN:1},${timeout})

Getting Rd pages right for redefined S3 generic
I'm writing a package, and would appreciate advice on controlling the
help documentation cross-references for a redefined generic.
I wanted to define a cbind equivalent for an object that mostly behaves
like a data frame. base::cbind dispatches to a data frame method if
_any_ parameter is a data frame, so I defined a new S3 cbind and
cbind.default to handle dispatch on first object only.

alias_method_chain vs. redefined method with super
I''m trying to fully understand the subtleties of using
alias_method_chain to refine method behavior versus redefining a method
and calling super. I have a simple data model (a music collection) that
I often use to evaluate web frameworks, and I''m trying to get it working
on Rails 1.2.0RC1.
Specifically, I have three classes which subclass a common Artist class:

Conflicting definitions for function redefined as S4 generics
[cross-posted to R-devel and bioc-devel]
Hi,
I am trying to implement a 'sort' method in one of the CRAN packages I
am maintaining ('apcluster'). I started with using setMethod("sort",
...) in my package, which worked fine. Since many users of my package
are from the bioinformatics field, I want to ensure that my package
works smoothly with Bioconductor. The problem

method redefined errors from many core ruby libs
I have a Fedora Core 6 system on which I have built ruby 1.8.6 and
rubygems 1.1.1 from source, and installed rails 2.0.2 using rubygems.
When I create a new rails app, I get lots of errors that look like
they''re coming from internal ruby libraries. Lots of methods
redefined, as if I have some duplicate code somewhere. I also get
errors when generating a simple model (see below.)

definition of R_problem_buf in S.h (PR#210)
Full_Name: Thomas Vogels
Version: 0.64.1
OS: AIX 4.2
Submission from: (NULL) (198.133.22.70)
R_problem_buf is defined, not just declared, in S.h:
#define R_PROBLEM_BUFSIZE 4096
char R_problem_buf[R_PROBLEM_BUFSIZE];
This is bad since every time S.h is included this buffer is defined. The
linker
will eventually complain about multiple definitions of this symbol.
Solution: declare

Conflicting definitions for function redefined as S4 generics
I fully agree, Michael, that this would be a great thing to have! I have
often wondered why R and the standard packages are still sticking so
much to the old-style S3 flavor though S4 is part of standard R. I
acknowledge that backward compatibility is important, but, as far as I
got it, redefining a function or S3 generic as an S4 generic should not
harm existing functionality (if done

Asterisk with Lucent TNT echo
I'm running SIP between my Lucent TNT acting as a gateway, and an
asterisk server. We have a PRI coming into the Lucent. Basically the
problem I'm having is mostly on inbound calls but some outbound calls as
well. I hear echo and sometimes some weird artifacting on calls coming
in from the lucent. Everything routed over IAX to VoIP Jet or Nufone
sounds fine. It seems like every 3

laptop wireless--orinoco_cs, can it do WPA?
Hi!
I'm messing about with an old Toshiba Tecra laptop. i've got wireless
working well using NetworkManager and WEP. But I'm interested in finding
out if it is possible to get WPA/TKIP or other WPA variants to work with
that driver.
According to dmesg, boottime diagnostics include:
eth0: Hardware identity 0005:0004:0005:0000
eth0: Station identity 001f:0001:0008:000a

Porting S library which use "graphics.h" and "device.h"
Hello.
I am porting Splus library to R, which use S "graphics.h" and "device.h",
the library makes a number of high resolution plots using these.
Does anyone have an experience with similar porting? I don't really want to
rewrite all C code, so any recommendation would be helpful.
Thanks.

Can asterisk support using different ip for rtp?
Currently, RTP IP have to be the same as SIP IP. But, SIP RFC allows
RTP to use different IP as SIP ip.
Is there any way to configure it? GUI or CLI? or , will we support it in future?
Thanks.
