OpenSSH 3.5p1 and BSM for Solaris
Can someone help me get BSM working with Solaris 8 and OpenSSH 3.5p1? I saw the patch here for OpenSSH 3.4p1, but do not know how to apply it to OpenSSH 3.4p1 nor do I feel comfortable modifying to work with OpenSSH 3.5p1: openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org Is this patch needed to fix the BSM crontab issue only, or is it required for BSM auditing in general? Bind-9.11 is installed. How do you configure it? Does it need anything special in the config for samba to build the ...samba.../named.conf file that I should be able to include in my /etc/named.conf afterwards? My guess is that some directory is missing. But if I start fresh and configure samba with the internal dns it gets all the way through it's configuration with no errors. I've

Created a custom/minimal CentOS 5.x install ISO
Hi all, I'd like to try rolling a somewhat stripped down and customized CentOS DVD. This is particularly interesting to me now that CentOS 5.5 is 2 DVDs. I dare not call it a new distro as I suspect I will be the only one to use it. ;) I've been googling for ways to do this, figuring it must be somewhat straight forward, but my google-fu is weak it seems. Can someone point me

swfdec not working - how to troubleshoot?
Hi, I'm a fedora user and I didn't know about your great project (shame on me). Only project I head about before that tried to do that you are doing is gnash. I'm testing fedora rawhide (development verision - soon to be Fedora 9). Rawhide currently uses Firefox 3 and swfdec installed by default - that is how I got to know about your project. Current version in rawhide is

ant RPM for CentOS 4
Attempting to build OpenOffice 2 on CentOS 4 from rawhide (future FC5) SRPM. The spec file has EL4 target (which is nice), and I got almost all dependencies in place (mostly from 4.2beta and some from rawhide). However, I'm missing the ant package. Ant from rawhide doesn't compile since it is already gcc 4 based (fails on dependencies, getting it to use gcc4 instead of gcc seems like

From samba 2.2.1a to samba 2.2.3a
Hi, I have Red Hat Linux 7.2 and samba 2.2.1a. At the moment I'm trying to install samba 2.2.3a but I'have problems whit samba-client and samba-common (both v. 2.2.1a): Have I that uninstall samba-common and samba-client 2.2.1a in order to instal samba 2.2.3a ? The package of samba-2.2.3a.src.i386.rpm only have samba and not client and the common. I'm a few crazy now whit this

For that we need to start with rawhide and then change the R-rpm-macros package. Probably it should be enough to change the /usr/lib/rpm/R-deps.R script to add Requires: R(ABI)=4.0 I suggest to continue this as is

oVirt Node Fedora Feature Status
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ovirt_Node_Spin I noticed that virt-manager-tui is in rawhide finally, but the package name implies that it's not going to be in f16? virt-manager-tui.noarch 0.9.0-4.fc17 rawhide Cole, is this intentional or just smth that we need to follow up on? Also, I've noticed that ovirt-node needs refreshing... iirc apevec did tag/release of 2.0.1 from

supermin in Fedora Rawhide switched (again) to using dnf instead of yum
Previous attempt: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2015-April/msg00013.html supermin needs to download packages (eg. RPMs) when preparing the appliance. After a lot of work, 'dnf download' can now be used as a replacement for the (deprecated) 'yumdownloader' program. This only affects the 'supermin --prepare' phase, which means it only affects people building

What can I do to make btrfs work?
Btrfs has been broken for me for ages. I first reported it on this list 5 months ago[1]. Below is a very simple reproducer that anyone can run. *NB* before you run this, adjust /dev/sda & /dev/sda1 to point to an unused block device! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- #!/bin/sh - set -e while true; do parted -s -- /dev/sda mklabel msdos parted -s --
