[Bug 192] monitor.c:545: undefined reference to `auth_password with USE_PAM on
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=192
------- Additional Comments From mouring at eviladmin.org 2002-03-28 04:04 -------
If I understand the PAM code (none of the PRIVSEP code has been made to work
with it right now) one should never called auth_password() they should
be calling auth_pam_password()..
So in mm_answer_authpassword() function it should look something like this

[Bug 231] ssh-keygen has fatal error while updating comment in RSA1 key
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=231
------- Additional Comments From stevesk at pobox.com 2002-05-12 05:31 -------
the error is not seen in current i believe due to the fix to arc4random()
to call seed_rng() correctly.
is there a way we can reduce the diff in terms of moving function calls
around due to delaying RNG seeding?

README.privsep
Hi,
This is included in the release now; any feedback?
Privilege separation, or privsep, is method in OpenSSH by which
operations that require root privilege are performed by a separate
privileged monitor process. Its purpose is to prevent privilege
escalation by containing corruption to an unprivileged process.

This patch (does not include configure.ac patch) should allow non-mmap platforms to compile, but will not allow them to use privsep period. One has to do more R&D to figure out where to disable compression on sshd since

MFC of reentrant realpath.c
Hi,
I've seen that this commit never got MFC'd:
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/lib/libc/stdlib/realpath.c?rev=1.14&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup
Would it be possible to do that or are there any objections
out there ?

Yes, I'd be happy to help.
I can't promise that the solution outlined below works everywhere, but
it has been tested on a number of unix-like platforms and seems to be
OK. I suppose at least making people aware of the problem is better
than nothing.
Basically, we ended up using
