Strange problem from "identical" hosts
Long post.. sorry. Ok.. I've got three systems, all running openssh-3.0.2p1. As a matter of fact, they were installed from the same built tree, so I know they are the same. Here's the deal. I've got three systems, call them source1, source2 and target. All are HP-UX 11.0 systems installed from the same tree. Source1 and source2 both have thier root rsa pub keys in target's

OpenSSH 3.0.Xp1, AIX -> Sun trusted host problem
Hi, Folks ... Apologies in advance for the length of this message, but I wanted to be thorough, and provide as much info as I could. I'm trying to figure out a problem in trusted-host authentication using AIX hosts as clients, and a Sun host as the server; either I'm missing something real obvious, or there might be a bug somewhere in some piece of software involved here. -- All of

ssh-keyscan: xmalloc out of memory error
hi all, I got "xmalloc: out of memory" when i used ssh-keyscan to a remote host that is using SSH protocol 2 and only protocol 2 (no fallback to SSH protocol 1). Looks to me more like ssh-keyscan doesn't talk SSH protocol 2 to the server. Please help. Here is the exact error: # /usr/local/bin/ssh-keyscan -v miad_1 # miad_1 SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_3.0.2p1 xmalloc: out of memory

Disconnecting: protocol error: rcvd type 98
When I SSH using protocol 1 from a Debian box running OpenSSH 2.9p2-4 to a sparc.sunos5 box running vanilla OpenSSH 2.9.1, after a little while (of inactivity?) I get the following message on the client terminal: Disconnecting: protocol error: rcvd type 98 Looking further, this message is actually caused by the SSH daemon. However, I'm at a loss to determine why sshd is doing this. I attach

OpenSSH + Solaris + AFS ???
Hello *, sorry if i missed an article which already solves my problem. I need a working configuration of OpenSSH for Solaris 7 (SunOS 5.7) with AFS support. PAM support to use the AFS PAm module `pam_afs.so' and TCP-Wrapper support would be nice. It would be nice to have similar configurations for Solaris 6 (SunOS 5.6), Solaris 8 (SunOS 5.8) and Solaris 2.5.1. I have tested a few

Problem with ssh-keyscan: no hostkey alg
Hi, I am using ssh-keyscan with a list of hosts, such as: ssh-keyscan -t rsa -f hosts_for_keyscan Some of the hosts in the list have dsa, but no rsa keys. For such hosts, the command displays: no hostkey alg When this is the case for 2 hosts, this message appears twice AND SSH-KEYSCAN STOPS QUERYING, which means that no keys at all are returned for the following hosts. Here is the part of the

ssh/sshd hang after "debug2: channel 0: open confirm rwindow 0 rmax 32768"
Dear openssh developers, Sorry to bother you with this, but I am stumped! ssh client version: OpenSSH_3.9p1 NCSA_GSSAPI_3.5 GSI, OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004 sshd server version: OpenSSH_4.6p1-hpn12v17 NCSA_GSSAPI_GPT_4.0 GSI, OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004 The client/server interaction hangs just at the very end, after authentication is complete. Samba and Win95 printing problem
I am having some problems setting up the printing for samba and was wondering if anyone has any ideas. Samba 1.9.16p11 is running on a SparcStation 20 running SunOS4.1.3_u1. Accessing the shares, like [homes], is successful. When attempting to connect to a printer using Win95 with Service Pack 1, an error occurs. The printer share name, host name, and printcap name are all the same and exactly

Exit status strangeness
Hello, Trying to get Oracle DataGuard running, which basically does a lot of work between two replicating databases via rsh/ssh. It is breaking because it pays very close attention to the exit status of ssh commands. We are using OpenSSH 2.5.2p2 (also tried 2.9p1, same result) on Solaris 7 and 8. This seems to be Solaris specific, because I can't reproduce it on Linux. I've

Re: [Nemo-devel] nuts status page
Adam: Thanks for putting up this page. But something is wrong. In particular, our Powerware 9135 is a three phase UPS system with THREE 480 volt outputs. So the displayed voltage is not correct -- in fact there should really be THREE voltages displayed, all around 480v. Nut developers: I am copying the NUT mailing list to see if anyone can suggest how to fix this. NUT developers, see the
