External Dial-up Modem
I am having an issue with Centos 6 and an external USRobotics modem. We use the modem as part of a last resort SMS paging system. Across multiple Dell servers, different models, I can't not get the modem to respond to simple AT commands while using Minicom. At the same time if I connect the server to a console port on a switch I can successfully access the switches serial console. So I

network interface activation order
I am using CentOS as a firewall/router. I am using bonded interfaces, vlan interfaces, and bridge interfaces. My problem currently is that on boot the system is attempting to activate the bridge interface before it's bonded-vlan members have been created. What this means is that the bridge is created but not activated. Is there anyway for me to influence the activation order and have

Centos Router
With the current discuss of "Performance of CentOS as a NAT gateway", I am curious how many people out there are using CentOS as a Router/Firewall in an enterprise or service provider environment. For myself I am not really concerned about NAT just a stateful firewall. The other half of my questions is about performance. I have read many articles and posts on the net about

system hanging
I'm having a problem with one of my Redhat boxes, and I'm not sure if it's an r-sync problem or not. The box's function is as a mail server. Every three hours I rsync the mail spools, and some other directories, to a backup server which initiates the connection (rsync -avre /usr/bin/ssh --delete xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:/var/spool/mail /var/spool) The rsync is running as root on both

Centos4 web hosting Control Panel
I'm looking for a nice Open Source web hosting Control Panel. Is anybody using VHCS with Centos4? Any other suggestions for good control panels? We'd really prefer a panel with a MySQL backend for user settings and such. mediatrix 1204 hysteria
Hello guys, I need your help related to a mediatrix 1204 configuration. I read some of the messages that you posted in the asterisk users mailing list about the mediatrix 1204 and decided to contact you. I know that the community is not related to Mediatrix devices, but so far I have not found any other group that has work as much as you with them. I bought the mediatrix in Mexico and my provider

PSTN to VoIP FXO gateways?
Sure would like to hear experiences using various FXO to VoIP gateways with *. It seems that any thread that has anything to do with problematic FXO interfaces goes on forever with speculation about everything under the sun. Unless there is someone out there with the engineering experience to build a better one it is a waste of time, let Digium deal with it. If the TDM400P can ever be made 99.99%

Re: rails question
Hi Shelby, No prob, You are having trouble b/c you don''t call @festival.valid? before this line: if !(@festival.errors.invalid? :name ) # => true if name is invalid I wasn''t clear about it in my post, but ActiveRecord::Errors#invalid? doesn''t actually do validations. It just looks at the associated errors object (which is empty if validation hasn''t

? has mib:::udp[In/Out]Datagrams been superceded by mib:::udpHC[In/Out]Datagrams
Hi, Looking at some udp stuff on snv_57, and I noticed that mib:::udpInDatagrams no longer exists, has this been superceded by mib:::udpHCInDatagrams? From my understanding they represent the same counter, but I''m asking in case this is a bug. I noticed that there is still a reference to udpInDatagrams in the DTrace testsuite. - Fintan

The top-level mapping binds the vendor entry OIDs (often "hidden" so one has to know where to poke).
