Please help: Compiling/configuring OpenSSH on SunOS 5.5.1 with AFS
Hello *, i have some problems to compile/configure OpenSSH on SunOS 5.5.1 with AFS. See the attachment for the compile environment. The programs compile fine and token passing is without problems. Unfortunately it is not possible to login without a valid token (`Permission denied.'). There is following message in the syslog: Kerberos v4 TGT for ... unverifiable: Principal unknown

Upcoming release schedule
As some of you may know the FreeBSD Project has been attempting to shift over from "Feature based releases" to "Time based releases" as far as trying to schedule them goes. Lets just say that's still a work in progress (as in doing that with FreeBSD 7.0 didn't work out so well). This is the schedule we will be shooting for through the next several years/branches:

Upcoming change in Daylight Savings Time
This message, hopfully, summarizes all the questions people may have about the change affecting when Daylight Savings Time begins and ends for various time zones which takes effect this year. NOTE: Before you decide this message does not effect you please bear in mind that the most critical file involved in all of this is /etc/localtime. That is the zoneinfo file your system will be using to

OpenSSH + Solaris + AFS ???
Hello *, sorry if i missed an article which already solves my problem. I need a working configuration of OpenSSH for Solaris 7 (SunOS 5.7) with AFS support. PAM support to use the AFS PAm module `pam_afs.so' and TCP-Wrapper support would be nice. It would be nice to have similar configurations for Solaris 6 (SunOS 5.6), Solaris 8 (SunOS 5.8) and Solaris 2.5.1. I have tested a few

FreeBSD 7.0-RC3 (for amd64/i386 only) Available
We're doing a "mini-RC3" to encourage testing of the Highpoint driver (hptrr) backout. Testing of 7.0-RC2 showed there were problems with the driver update done between RC1 and RC2. Because it's a "mini-RC" targetted at testing of one particular thing we have not bothered with setting up FreeBSD Update. You can use the normal cvsup-and-build method of doing an update

ordered shutdown
Hallo there. I'm new to this list and also to NUT. Our previous ups-system was APC based and apcupsd was serving the ordered shutdowns in our network. Our new ups is made by MGE and that's why we can't use apcupsd anymore. This led us into trouble. Our network system is quite complex and we need shutdown sequence levels. The servers depend on each other because of NFS and SQL

Dear friends, I am working around with a Snom 360 and Asterisk 1.4 + FreePBX In order to get subscriptions working and the Snom 360 lights turns on, I have set everything just like all the pages in the net explain. So, I get subsciption working. I can list subscription on the asterisk and if I use the SIP trace function built in at the SNOM nad see NOTIFY messages and 200 OK responses.

Problems with aged passwords (Red Hat 7.x, OpenSSH 2.9.x-3.0.2p1)
We're experiencing weird problems here: The Solaris guys have user-packages, so we had to do this too for the Linux boxes (7.0, 7.1). Since some of the accounts get "easy" passwords set at install time, they are expired at once: /usr/bin/chage -m 7 -M 84 -W 14 <user> Now, at login, the user is prompted: You are required to change your password immediately (root enforced)

KTH krb4 and OpenSSL conflict building OpenSSH 3.0.2p1

KTH krb4 is 1.1. When linking the binaries, the KTH krb4 libdes conflicts with the OpenSSL libdes. It seems to be possible to get around

[PATCH] Fix for hang-on-exit bug in OpenSSH-3.0.2p1
Here is a simpler patch (based on Markus Friedl's suggestion posted to this list) to OpenSSH-3.0.2p1 to fix the hang-on-exit bug (Protocol 2 only). To date, no data loss has been reported with this patch: it does not break ssh or scp. This patch should make OpenSSH work on all operating systems exactly as it does under FreeBSD. This patch and others are maintained on the
