buildpkg.sh in OpenSSH_3.1p1
Hi, version.h in OpenSSH_3.1p1 has an Newline after #define SSH_VERSION "OpenSSH_3.1p1" so tail -1 ../../version.h | sed -e 's/.*_\([0-9]\)/\1/g' | sed 's/\"$//' does give back a version number regards Oliver -- Oliver F?nger - Phone +49 201 8501 319 Cityweb Network GmbH & Co. rpmbuild annoyance
I'm building a package (rasmol, if you must know) from an srpm. It's an FC20 pkg, nothing older, but the software itself hasn't changed. So... I try the build, and it fails, telling me: gcc: %__global_ldflags: No such file or directory make: *** [rasmol] Error 1 Now, this isn't a brand-new package, so I'm puzzled by the error. Is there supposed to be something I need to add to

survreg with numerical covariates
Does anyone know if the survreg function in the survival package can fit numerical covariates ? When I fit a survival model of the form survreg( Surv(time, censored) ~ x ) then x is always treated as a factor even if it is numeric (and even if I try to force it to be numeric using as.numeric(x). Thus, in the particular example I am analysing, a simple numerical covariate becomes a factor

Problem while exiting sftp on SX-6...
Hi, I am trying to run sftp on SX-6 and it is giving me problem when I try to exit from sftp. On pressing ^D or entering "bye" on sftp prompt, sftp hangs. And I have to press ^C to quit. load ing and saving R objects
Does anyone know a way to do the following: Save a large number of R objects to a file (like load() does) but then read back only a small named subset of them . As far as I can see, load() reads back everything. The context is: I have an application which will generate a large number of large matrices (approx 15000 matrices each of dimension 2000*30). I can generate these matrices using an

Possible problem with hostbased protocol 1 rhosts authentication
I found this problem when working with the Suse9.1 distribution, but have since reproduced it with a vanilla build of Openssh (openssh-3.9p1.tar.gz). Basically I cannot get a command like this: XXXX>ssh -vvv -1 -o "RhostsAuthentication yes" AAAA to work. Yes the appropriate settings are in the servers sshd_config file. Hostbased protocol 1 ssh using rhosts between computers is
