X11 changes between 2.5.1p2 and 2.9p2
Hello,
I just upgraded one machine (HP-UX 11.0) from 2.5.1p2 to 2.9p2 and found that a
hendl at host_a# ssh host_b
works fine with authentication agent and X11 forwarding on but a
hendl at host_b# su
root at host_b# /usr/bin/X11/xclock
afterwards gives errors like
debug: X11 connection uses different authentication protocol.

AIX <--> Solaris X11 Forwarding Problem
I have an X11 application installed on a Solaris 5.7 server. ?The server
runs the OpenSSH 2.3.0p1 daemon. ?I then SSH to this server from OpenSSH
2.3.0p1 under AIX with X11 forwarding enabled. ?I can run X utilities, such
as xclock and xterm, without any problems. ?However, the X11 application I
require (a Privacy Manager GUI) creates an empty window frame.
If I telnet from the AIX server to the

problem to keep X11 forwarding
Dear people,
since openssh-3.8.1p1 I experience problems with the automatic
X11 forwarding. I installed openssh-3.9p1 yesterday hoping the
problems should disappear, but alas no.
It looks like the X11 autorization times out after some time,
I don't know exactly but after half an hour it surely is gone.
When I installed openssh-3.8.1p1 I also had opgraded openssl
from 0.9.7c to 0.9.7d then,

Chained X11 forwarding
hI,
Recently, we encountered a problem with forwarded X11 sessions when the
user ssh's through multiple systems. This was first spotted with 5.0p1
but is also reproducible with 5.1p1. The problem does not occur with
4.2p1.
The scenario is this: ssh from HostA to HostB requesting X11 forwarding
and then likewise from HostB to HostC. If you request a trusted cookie
when connecting to HostC,

Tag forwarded X11 connection as remote
Dear all,
This thread began before I was on the list. I am wondering if it is
relevant for my question re: why/how older versions of openssh
recognized the X11forwarding "attribute" - and a better place to be posting.
Using Putty (and an "external Xserver program") as well as a another
"ssh client with built-in X11 service) and any version of openSSH prior

3.1p1 breaks X11 forwarding
I just recently updated to 3.1p1 and it seems that some X11 forwarding
connections are broken while others work. For instance xterm always
works fine. But Synchronize (group calendar program) always crashes
with the following error. This happens even if I disable access
control using 'xhost +'.
X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication.
Secondly, in going back to

Any idea on how to install a hvm on a remote system. -- unable to open display
Hi
I''m been trying to install an xvm instance on a remote system, but I
keep running into variations on ''unable to open display''
I''ve tried to use ssh -X but I''ve not been able to get it to forward
when su''d to root.
1) ssh -X -l xadmin virtbox
running cload etc works fine.

Having difficulty exporting display
Hello,
This is my issue, my remote machine (CentOS 6.3, hosted in Azure windows
environment) has an application that I need to test on my local box (CentOS
6.4, a laptop behind a router).
Now, this is what I'm doing and the issue that I'm encountering:
Local:
$ xhost +
$ ssh -X someusername at somehostname.net -p 49283
Remote:
$ export DISPLAY=192.168.1.6:0.0
$ xclock

First of all, I'm a physicist and therefore I'm not much used to use
statistics. So, please forgive me if this is a FAQ or stupid, but I
failed to find the answer by myself.
I want to use corr.test to test for the correlation of two data sets
(actually I have a lot of data set and perform pairwise testing). But I

X11 problems on AIX (OpenSSH_3.7.1p2-pwexp24)
Hi folks,
I've got a problem with X11 forwarding on an AIX 5.2 system thats stumped
me.
I've installed the same patched + compiled installp package on all our aix
boxes
but one of them won't play ball with X11
ssh -X -v -v user at host gives (grepped out X11 looking lines)
