Anti-idle in OpenSSH client?
Heya,
Most of the windows ssh clients (putty, securecrt) have anti-idle
features. They offer either a null packet or protocol no-op or user
defined string to be sent over every x seconds.
Is this possible or planned with the OpenSSH client? Our draconian
firewall admins have started timing out ssh sessions. Yes I'm aware I
could hack up a port forwarding dumb traffic process, but was

auth*.c
Folks,
During testing, we found a couple of issues with openssh3.0.2p1:
1. In userauth_finish() in auth2.c (as well as in do_authloop in auth1.c),
the foll. check:
  if (authctxt->failures++ > AUTH_FAIL_MAX)
is never satisfied and thus packet_disconnect() never gets called. I
suspect the code just drops out of the dispatch_run function list instead.
This should be an == instead of >.

OpenSSH-3.1p1 AIX packaging bug [patch]
Hello,
The change in release number broke some some assumptions in
buildbff.sh:
* SSH_VERSION was always on the last line of version.h
* The OpenSSH version number would give a valid installp version (which
must have four parts).
Thanks to Mandar Mirashi for pointing this out.
Anyone affected can try the following patch which works for me and
hopefully will behave sanely in future.

OpenSSH-3.1p1 AIX buildbff.sh patch
Hello All,
Attached is a patch makes the following changes to contrib/aix
relative to 3.1p1:
* Gets version number from ssh -V as suggested by Tim Rice.
* Does a better job of generating valid AIX package version numbers
(fixes inutoc "format of the toc file is invalid" and "invalid level"
errors reported by Mandar Mirashi).
* Tests for "make install" failure and

[patch] AIX package build fixes, please commit
Hello All,
This is a resend of a patch I posted nearly two weeks ago. As
of a few minutes ago, it hasn't been committed and thus the AIX package
builds from CVS fail. (I know because I now have a cron job that tells
me :-)
Could someone please review and commit the attached patch and
chmod a+x contrib/aix/*.sh, or let me know what needs to be changed?
	It makes the following changes

Speex + Ogg package
I'm currently working on a speex + theora webchat.
I have both working alone, but to make them work together and to know where
the package goes, I'm trying to use ogg packages.
With theora there has been no problem, but with speex I can't make it work.
The problem is that for a second it works great, but then it begings to gain
lag, and in a little time it has 5-10 lag seconds (into

Jabber Powered Rails Chatroom
For those who cant access IRC, or just looking for a quick browser based
alternative, i started an open jabber powered webchat for rails. Hopefully
this will be a nice alternative for people to go to ask questions, get some
help, offer some help, etc.
I hope the community enjoys it, just trying to give a little back for all
the hard work.
It can be accessed here

Samba documentation team
Hello Samba developers,
hello active Samba mailing list supporters,
hello *
During the last year I (re-)wrote a lot of HowTos and tried to clean up
the Wiki in a careful way. But it still contains many outdated,
unstructured and hidden content. And in the past weeks we had more and
more complaints and questions about missing documentation, first start
Howtos, trouble shooting guides, etc.

Speex + Ogg package
sorry, no webchat, is a videoconference program. And I'm using UDP as you
can read down on the mail.
The problem is that speex packages alone work great, but to split
speex/theora packages on the arrive I need to use some kind of container,
and I'm trying ogg.

Stateful Webmail
Hello,
I'm a developer on the Orbited project (http://www.orbited.org), which
provides a TCPSocket interface in javascript (emulated over HTTP using ajax
and comet.) This TCPSocket allows true bi-directional communication between
a web browser and an arbitrary tcp server. One of the other developers
pointed me to a recent dovecot thread about webmail. Sorry for the new
thread (I just joined

LBX Support : Where to start
I would like to put a patch in OpenSSH start lbxproxy on the server if
both ends of the connection support LBX. I'm having difficulty figuring
out where to put this code, specifically I can't seem to find where the
X11 handshaking happens. Could someone help me out on this??
