http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124 ------- Additional Comments From gdg at zplane.com 2002-05-10 12:04 ------- I'm seeing this same thing, except for even relatively small files or streaming transfers. (A few hundred kb on scp, or a few hundred kb of streamed X11 data.). In my case I'm running client 3.1p1 and the sshd is 2.0.13 (non-commercial) patched to 2.0.18.

Local software flow control
Good day time! Using openssh with a serial attached terminal figures with a problem with flow control when serial terminal has printer connected to it etc. because ssh disables xon/xoff on associated terminal. At present ssh client always disables xon/xoff on associated terminal device, regarding of it's previous state, e.g. ixon and ixoff options were set or not. By searching the google

SSH Client Hangs after logging in to SSHD
I'm not a ssh expert and I don't know if the log is good or bad, but I too am running OpenSHH under OpenServer. I find that after I connect, the return key has no effect unless I first type: stty sane <Ctrl>j If you've hit <ENTER> before that you must first press <Ctrl>j a couple of times to clean out the buffer. After I type the above command, everything

Terminal settings with Putty?
Trying to use Putty 0.62 (the most current version I can find) and when I use the c compiler, I see a bunch of terminal codes that obfuscate the output of the compiler. (Teaching my son some programming) Anybody know what I should be setting to what? It's pretty much a CentOS6 server set up with defaults. You can see what I'm talking about http://i.imgur.com/dpwLg.png Thanks in

OpenSSH Hangs After Successful Authentication
Greetings... ** Short Description / Abstract ** Using my _internal_ WiFi card, OpenSSH succeeds to local (internal) LAN hosts, but hangs after authentication to external LAN hosts; however PuTTY works for all hosts. Using an _external_ WiFi card, OpenSSH does succeed to all LAN hosts (as did PuTTY, still, as well). ** Longer Description and Details ** *** HW Description *** I have a laptop

Windows client hangs running .exe from Samba share
I'm running Mac OS X Server 10.4.1, smbd --version 3.0.10. I have been using it for a couple years running roaming profiles for Windows 2000 clients with few problems. It was time to reinstall the client machines with new applications, keeping Win2K as the client operating system. I consulted my notes and adjusted the local system policies to exclude certain folders from the roaming

HP-UX 9 problems (hangs on logout; tty isn't sane)
I'm trying to get OpenSSH 2.5.2p2 to run on HP-UX 9.05. I've had some decent results, but I'm also seeing some problems. I'm using the EGD (I configured with --with-prngd-socket=/tmp/entropy). * Compiling required some changes, which I've attached. Two of the changes are "hackish", and not at all suited to inclusion in the source tree, but they might point

OT: Recommendation for a good Internationalized terminal software
Hi all, We've got server-based application that runs on CentOS. Until now, most of our customer's end-users have accessed the application using either PuTTY or Teraterm. I was asked yesterday to try and find internationalized add ons or alternatives for our new Asian customers (Japan, Korea and China atm). I figured if anyone would be able to recommend terminal emulation

What TERMINAL software do you use for MS Windows platform and WHY?
Hi Everyone, I am accustomed to PUTTY and it's very nice as in it allows many many SSH profiles to be saved and allows tunneling etc....but it's not very good when it comes to scrolling up and down, colors, text size, and specially it doesn't give a title to the opened instance. Maybe giving the IP address as the title of the window would help a lot if you have many different servers

[tbox-l] AIX - Compilation issues with openssh
AIX Toolbox builds openssh with vac.C 5.0.2.0, and configures with very few options: export blibpath="/opt/freeware/lib:/usr/lib:/lib" %configure --prefix=%{prefix} \ --sysconfdir=/etc/ssh \ --libexecdir=%{_libexecdir}/openssh \ --with-ipv4-default \ --with-rsh=/usr/bin/rsh If you extract the openshh.spec file from the SRPM, you can see exactly what we do (you already have it in

Compiling OpenSSH with OpenSSL-fips 0.9.8o on Windows
My office is currently using WRQ Reflections as it was FIPS compliant. But this option is an expense that we'd like to get rid of if possible. Putty is not an option for us since it uses it's own OpenSSL libs and we need it FIPS enabled. I've been able to build OpenSSL 0.9.8o and enable the fipcanister.lib and create the openssl executables and libraries. I've been able to find

Gnome Terminal and xterm problems
I've noticed this in CentOS 4 & 5 and Fedora 5 & 6. If I'm in Gnome desktop and using any of the terminal programs and I ssh into any server, the connection just hangs. Not drops, it just hangs and doesn't recover. These servers are all over the country on different ISPs in Tier1 datacenters. Some are in our office, so they are on the local lan. We have a mix of RHEL 3, 4

Re: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 7, Issue 260
> From: "James Bean" <james@hdcs.com.au> > Has anyone every setup an external open/close relay, off say a serial > interface, and have an extension trigger the relay? The following will do the trick. Just add a 5vdc solid state relay ('cause you can't sink too much current out of the RS232C port). Substitute "2", "4" or "6" in the
