OpenSSH 3.0.Xp1, AIX -> Sun trusted host problem
Hi, Folks ...
Apologies in advance for the length of this message, but I wanted to
be thorough, and provide as much info as I could. I'm trying to
figure out a problem in trusted-host authentication using AIX hosts
as clients, and a Sun host as the server; either I'm missing
something real obvious, or there might be a bug somewhere in some
piece of software involved here.

masquerading
Following Situation:
Having an intranet-application that needs to know the ip-Address of the
clients before running.
Clients anywere in the Internet with any ip-address.
So I thought about using masquerading the opposite way than normal.
But then anybody could use this application.
Dos anybody know how to make it a little bit more secure, like proofing
the mac-address of the client, or something

OCFS problem with 2.4.9-e.27 (Solved?)
Hello,

where can I find a working combination of fw-kernel and ocfs?
We are testing under SLES8 and had linux-2.4.20rc2-orafw Kernel downloaded from otn and try to compile the ocfs-sourcen also downloaded from otn.
Problem is, that Suse SLES8 works with kernel 2.4.19, so we can't recompile the ocfs-sourcen for kernel

mounting samba shares on linux with non-ascii dirs
Hi!
I've just searching the list archives but cannot solve my problem with
mounting samba (v3.0) shares back on linux (RH 8.0 and 9).
Mounting on Win clients works fine and any filenames (including long
names with non-ascii chars and spaces) are perfictly supported and accessed.
Mounting the share back on (even the same) linux box is a complex task.
I use: mount -t smbfs -o guest

Problem with roaming profiles
Hi
After changing from samba 2.2.7 to 3.0.rc2 I can't get roaming profiles
work. Clients Are W2K and XP.
I've also switched from smbpasswd backend to ldap. Logon path is only
set in smb.conf, not in ldap.
Storing of profiles is working but it takes very long.
I've tried logon path = \\wilma2\profile\Win2K and \\wilma2\profile.
But the clients are always storing profile in

GPOs not Working!
Hai,
Ok, for the sysvol.
I'll put all steps here again.
I suggest start with this one.
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/thctlo/samba4/master/samba-check-set-sysvol.sh
This checks and set the rights to be known to be right. ( aka works great for me ) ;-)
Then follow these steps.
- login as dom\administrator.
- start computer manager, connect to dc.
- klik Shared Folders, Shares,

OpenSSH_3.0.1p1 disconnects due to bad packet length and corrupted MAC on input.
Hi
I'm having huge problems with OpenSSH 3.0.1p1, compiled with OpenSSL 0.9.6b 9 Jul 2001 and running with prngd_0.9.23, it disconnects unexpectedly during client session due to bad packet length and corrupted MAC on input, according to debug anyway.
What can cause this kinds of errors? I've verified that both se9104/server and switch runs in 100 Mbit full duplex and switch statstictics

Dyn.load of sharing object with GSL library
Following the recommendation of Prof. Ripley, I have created the Makevars
file with the line:
PKG_LIBS="-L/usr/lib/libm -lm -L/usr/local/lib/libgsl -lgsl -L/usr/local/lib
/libgslcblas -lgslcblas"
in the working directory.
Now I have the code file Example3.c which computes the Bessel function value
(the example is taken from the GSL reference book).
I am running:
R CMD SHLIB Example3.c
